This device tickles in the nose and can bring tears to eye if you're not used to that feeling. But otherwise it does its job well. It can trim well if you can get the hair caught in the rotator and that is a bit of challenge.

Flawless - I use it for self-inflicted haircuts. Assumed the vac was a gimmick, but it works perfectly - no cleaning the sink or floor. First used it when my hair was "long" - 1/4"+ - and the vac sucked up the all the clippings. Great value and delivers on the promises made in the product description.

I love this product -- and I thank whomever reviewed it in the past saying it's important to exfoliate the skin in between using... because those ingrowns can be tedious. To be honest, I've taken to using a standard callous remover for heels and rubbing that over my legs to get rid of excess dead skin, and that seems to do the trick -- for me. I love this thing. I've used it (and others like it) for several years now, and have found that you can either wait the six weeks to get hairy, or use it every week or two to keep maintenance. Up to you!

This thing is absolutely terrible! Mine ended up in the trash. I bought it based on all the great reviews, but soon found out it barely works. Maybe out of the shower it could provide some value, but does absolutely nothing good when wet.

There was an improvement in the performance of the cutting head, but I am very disappointed that it is going to cost me 1/3 the value of the entire shaver to replace the head when needed. I will probably stop using the Norelco after this head wears out.

I went from a rotery to this foil razor and I am very happy. The shave is easy on the face and cleaning is simple. Price and consumer reports review made my purchase of A new razor easy. If you want a clean close shave look no further then amazon.com and the Remington MS2-390 Microsheen 500.

great product. love the razor. when you clean the razor under water to remove clippings, and then use the formula, I found I can easily get 60 days out of a single cartridge.

Whenever I see a product that users say is the best nose/ear hair remover on the market, I am somewhat skeptical ... OK very skeptical since the unit isn't even electric powered. Well, how wrong I was. I like the manual method of guiding the cutting area with one hand and rotating the cutting portion with another hand. Makes for a very effective trimming of the entire area. and as far as performance, the Platinum XL is far superior to any other nose/ear trimmer that I have ever owned. It is built like a tank and should provide many years of outstanding performance. Should mention that the folks at Groom Mate had this item delivered to my home in only four days from placing the order.

The heads are very easy to replace and result in a much improved shave over the one-year old heads I was using. My only complaint is that the new heads are a little expensive. I would participate in the Amazon automatic re-purchase option if Amazon offered a order annually option rather than the current maximum 6-months option.
