This is my 3rd BP monitoring unit. It is very easy to use and you can configure it to take a few measurements in succession and provide the average reading. So far, I'm happy with it.

This precision device, accurately measures only one thing directly: the total number of steps taken. Although, based on your entered weight and stride length, it also calculates the approximate calories burned, the number of "aerobic" steps taken, and distance walked. Furthermore, the meter resets at midnight, and keeps a 7 day log of all this information. Granted that all variables are calculated (except total number of steps taken, By nature, they are not precise, and cannot be expected to be so. However, this is merely a limitation of physics and mathematics, not a problem with the pedometer itself. This pedometer has really done its job. It is very accurate. I have used other, cheaper pedometers, but you get what you pay for. They count steps even when you are just moving your upper body. This one only counts "real" steps. If you are wanting a more healthy lifestyle, and motivate yourself to "get moving", then this is the pedometer for you.

Worked ok for first couple of weeks. I think i am going to have to return it. That positioning sensor is very difficult to get just right. I'm disapointed, I delibertly shopped for Omron because I have other Omron products and they work just fine. Zondra Brownlee

I bought this about 6 months ago and it died. It all started about 2 days after i bought it. Whenever i would hit the big button to turn on the light on the watch it would make the numbers impossible to see. I thought it was a normal reaction to dying batteries, so i replaced them (I had just received the watch). That seemed to fix the problem for about 1 week. then it started to get worse and worse. I replaced the battery 2 more times (making this bargain watch less bargain). Then yesterday it died completely when i tried to turn on the light on the watch. I will go with a polar next time. it may be more expensive, but my friends who have them are still using them while i am burying mine in the back yard in a solemn ceremony tonight. 'Ave Maria'

This monitor provided poor results. I compared it to readings at home with an Omron wrist monitor (ModelRX2). It typically reads 20-25 units higher than the wrist monitor for both systolic and diastolic. The wrist monitor has been reasonably consistent and agrees well with my readings at the doctor's office, and another wrist monitor (HEM-608). I took this monitor to the doctor's office as well, and it was 30 units higher than the nurse's and doctor's measurements. My doctor recommended I not use it. He was more pleased with my wrist monitor. As such I have returned the HEM-90IT and am using the wrist monitor since I have much more confidence in it. I bought this unit for its computer record keeping, but its not worth it if I have little confidence in the numbers.

This is a great tool to complete your set of evaluation. I'm loosing weight and helping other to do it in a healthy way. Monitoring the body fat is great!

I have lost approximately 70 lbs. in the last 4 months... I'd have an exact figure if only I had not put off purchasing this scale until 2 and a half months ago! This is the best scale I've ever utilized and provides me daily input as to the reality of my momentum! Prior to this scale I never listened to scales as I started off as a 300 lb. large framed male, my weight could fluctuate as much as 12 lbs. in a day and 3 of the 5 reputable weight charts out there have my end weight falling below my actual lean body mass as I am large framed and am putting on considerable muscle. Works fairly well for an inexpensive plastic tool. I purchased this with skeptisism (could other calipers be $50 or $200 better than this?), so I had myself and two others tested with professional grade calipers by a qualified staff member at my health club. Then at home I re-measured each other using the Accu-Measure Fitness 3000 -- the measurements compared acceptably. The tool's increment lines on the scale are not easy to read when you are pinching skin, but it does work. Taking skinfold measurements is more art than science, so repeat taking every skinfold measurement until you get the same value twice (you cannot be in a hurry when you do this). The body fat chart included with this tool is very poor however. To get a more accurate body fat score, find another formula that require more measurement ... Read More

I have had several BP machines - none have worked very well. The Omron Elite works just great - my doctor said it is one of the best.
