I ordered this for a friend who was in a coma for many days and has recovred but has been unable to lie down in bed for about the past year. She has been sleeping in a recliner. Thanks to the wedge pillow she now is able to sleep comfortably in a her bed.

The shape of this wedge is perfect and it's weight keeps it stable on my bed. I happened to break my toe the night I received it and have been very happy to have had it! It's so comfortable that I miss using it when I go out of town overnight. A worthwhile purchase!

The package was missing a key piece that had to be sent separately. The directions were incorrect which made it confusing to assembly especially since I didn't know I was missing a part. Works as described.

I might be the only one unhappy with this product but after I lifted the mattress off of the box springs and started to attach it to the frame the buckel broke. The quality seemed to be poor the plastic was cheap and the straps were thin. I must say the transaction went very well. The item arrived very quickly and the return was a breeze. F.Y.I. I did find one for my large husband at Elderdepot.com and he is very happy with it and he does feel secure with this type of device. I do recommend anyone needing this type of device to purchase one.

The item was very easy to assemble (approx 5-10 mins), with all tools included (two allen keys and a small wrench). I was impressed with the smoothness of the gas strut height adjustment, and the overall robustness and quality of the unit. One cosmetic flaw on the unit that I received was on the adjustment lever which was unevenly partially coated (metal showing through in some areas), which should have been rejected at the factory.. but it is usually out of view, and does not affect the functionality. Works great as a stand for a computer monitor when sitting in bed, the load capacity is never in question (50 lb max). We purchased the duro-med elevating leg rest in an attmpt to make my daughter a bit more comfortable after spinal fusion surgery. This small purchase did more good than anything we tried- other pillows, different positions, etc. The pentagonal shape was perfect to put her legs and spine in a comfortable position. She wouldn't go anywhere in the house without it, and it helped ease her back pain whether lying down or sitting in a recliner. Very highly recommended.

I was hesitant spending around $60 on a "sound machine" but after using this for about three weeks now I am completely satisfied with my purchase. My favorite feature is that it is a white noise generator not a loop player therefore it is possible to regulate the pitch of the white noise and combine a mixture of low and high pitch white noise. I am able to drown out the low reverberation of running footsteps as well as the high pitched talking of kids when I am sleeping during the day. It's like a black hole for sounds; they disappear.

Thanks to all the predecessors who posted reviews on this and other sites. Because of either gastrix reflux or sinus issues, I frequently awoke vomiting phlegm. Raising the bed on wood blocks didn't work; trying to sleep on a reading or other pillows didn't work -- this works! I have no headboard or footboard and it doesn't seem to be a problem. It also makes changing the sheets easier!

I bought this not for acid reflux, but as an alternative to Liberator Wedge, Blue. My girlfriend and I wanted to try something new and we enjoyed the experience enough to add it to our mix. The foam is stiff enough to provide just the right amount of lift, and it worked much better than using pillows. The cover is washable, but it is made of thin cotton, and the zipper doesn't look very durable so I will probably invest in the other product when I can afford to. So if you are on a tight budget or you want to try before you buy, this works nicely.

I purchased this product to help with lower back pain. The wedge did smell a bit on the chemical side at first, although I was able to tolerate the odor until it dissipated (something like a week). Most importantly, it helped tremendously with my back. Unfortunately, this lasted only a couple of months, and now the wedge seems to offer little support (the 7" vertical height in the back is now naturally compressed to something like 2"). I'm a bit ambivalent about the purchase. Yes, the sleep is worth the money, but I would imagine you could make a more durable pillow.
