Health & Personal Care : Spine-Worx Back Realignment Device

Cool. Spine-worx is cool.

After a few hours on the pc, my back would start to feel sore right in between the shoulders. I can lay down on the worx, slowly relax and my upper back pops and the tension is gone. It's very, very nice. I don't know how healthy it is to keep popping one's back, but it has replaced any foreseeable chiropractor visits.

The product itself is of decent quality, firm plastic; the rubbery yellow trails are soft enough. I'm 6'2", (solid) 210lbs and it fit my frame fine. My wife is 5'0" and she felt it was too high of an arch for her lower back. I'm not sure how it would work (or feel) on a "heavier" person, but for the price, I wouldn't let it hold you back.

In fact, I think I'll use it right now!

Health & Personal Care : TheraCane

The Theracane is a brilliant product! It is as amazing as it is ugly. My husband was given his about 8 years ago and he uses it daily. In fact, he jokingly calls it his "wife" because it will give him a massage any time he wants one. We have bought these for gifts for most of the men in our lives and have yet to have someone not LOVE it. The curved design of the Theracane allows you to "dig" at those hard to reach knots in your back all by yourself. The additional knobs on the product help massage the traps and neck. The Therecane is such an amazing product that you won't even mind how ugly it is when it's hanging on the side of your couch for easy access ;)

This is not the original one seen on TV shows and media, but for the price I decided to give it a try. It feels great but I agree the edges are a little rougher than anticipated, so be gentle on your scalp. Unfortunately one of the fingers just snapped off after a few weeks of normal/home use. I cancelled it for a refund and purchased 'The Tingler' in silver and love it. It's built better, specifically the fingers are designed to turn/curve with ease whereas with The Happy Company one, you need to press and twist/mold. It's really hard to explain, but The Tinger is by far the better product. I got mine on eBay for $12, so look out for them.

And to the people out there who never tried it, you absolutely must. It is a very unique and sensationally soothing experience. I love mine, ... Read More

Great tool, especially for a woman's back. My back is small enough for the little knobs to really push in between my shoulder blades if I alternate each side holding it on a 45 degree angle from my shoulder to my lower back. I have the Backnobber "S" shape, and this is much easier to hold on a spot and and maneuver around. I liked this one so much I got a second one to keep at the office and am also giving one to my Mom for her birthday. Highly recommended.

Health & Personal Care : Body Back Buddy Massage Cane

Sorry gang, this is a cheap piece of plastic that is very hard to align over the sore spot and hurts like the dickens when you do. Save yourself the money and slam your back into a door knob. The knob is bigger and would hurt less.

CONS:

Hard to use - It takes a lot of fumbling to find the sore spot. Think about it, you can't see the sore spot, so you have to find it using this big, awkward device. It's actually harder than you think it is because this thing is curved and huge.

Hurts - The same problem with finding the sore spot shows up when trying to press on the sore spot. It's really hard to control how hard you press on the store spot with this huge, clumsy thing. It's far too easy to dig in and really hurt yourself. Instead of hard plastic they should ... Read More

Health & Personal Care : DaVinci Tool

May not look like much - but looks can be deceiving - this thing is wonderful! Over the last twenty years I've purchased many devices in the $20-$60 range to work on my back (between massages and spinal adjustments). The Davinci Tool has the most versatility. It allows me to stretch muscles and release tension in all areas of my back like no other gizmo I've ever tried. Various times I've had issues with my neck or around my shoulder blades, mid-back or lower back; I can maneuver the DaVinci Tool edge/angle/point to just the right spot. It's well worth the price. My massage therapist daughter thinks it's a cool tool too!

The copper is the best. Even the grandchildren beg us to use it on their heads. It is best for some strange reason when someone else uses it on your head. It sends shivers all over. Other silly reviewers..it is not for massaging, it is for tingling. Let someone else use it gently on your head and you will absolutely love it!!!!!

I love this product!!! I have had a couple of different versions of the electrical massagers and they don't hold a candle to this simple, but very effective product. It is incredibly simple to use for anyone and does a fantastic job of relieving upper back and neck tension and spasms. I keep it in my office at work and my co-workers come and borrow it all the time. I am seriously thinking about buying this for my whole family for Christmas. Do not hesitate, buy it now.

If you have sensitive feet, this roller may not be for you. This plastic nubs on this roller are not soft and flexible as stated. Like one of the other reviews, it is a little uncomfortable to use. Perhaps "The Happy Company Therapeutic Foot and Body Roller" may work better.

The first time I used the Foot And Body roller was at 3:00am after the day I got it. I woke up and my back was KILLING ME!!! So, I put the roller up against the brick work of the fire place, on our FP it has a side that is a full wall. So I stand up with my back against the roller and do shallow knee bends. This rolls up and down your back. Then you adjust it up higher on the back. It loosened it right up after a couple of minutes and I went back to bed, couldn't get back to sleep because I was wide awake at that point, but at least my back stopped hurting. So, I roll before bed and I generally don't need it during the night. I wake up with a lot less discomfort. I also bought the one with the NUBS, but it has not arrived yet.
I gave it a four, but really a 4.5 - 5.
Works great on arms ... Read More
