This cheese is an affordable option for entertaining since it is modestly priced in comparison to other imported European cheeses. It also slices up nicely and will look (and taste) good on party cheese platters. The cheese is mild in taste and quite inoffensive. When we were growing up in Asia, we had a cheese similar to this but with a more pronounced flavor. We would grate this cheese over pasta dishes. It was good to rediscover this cheese from Holland and relive childhood memories. The company (not Amazon) who handled the transaction sent the cheese out immediately and it arrived in excellent condition. I would order from the company again.

I LOVE this cheese with a nice quality red wine - but I couldn't get my daughter to buy it due to the price. Amazon to the rescue! I ordered it online and she came home from work to find it waiting at her door. It was fresh and in good condition! She was inspired to open a bottle of CA red, and discovered for herself why this is one of our favorite indulgences! It's a great cheese and Amazon delivered on the freshness!

This results in beautiful flower petal shaped slices that are ideal for getting the most from the cheese. Search for "Girolle" as they are not in stock at the moment I can't offer a number. There is a combination available from another vendor "B0000DK4XT" As to the cheese it is really special. At first scent it is a bit intimidating but let it come up to temperature and you will have something wonderful. Most likely you will only use half of this in one setting unless you have a lot of company. Terrific setup for parties.
