I am not a cheese expert nor do I claim to be one so this kind of cheese is new to me. If you are not used to this kind of cheese you might have the same reaction I did and I guess since I am usually getting cheese that's found in the supermarket (like slices of Kraft cheese or a block of cheese) I found this cheese to be an acquired taste. At 1st I thought the cheese was awful but than I thought about it and the main reason I thought that was since I am not used to the taste it might not be pleasing at 1st. So I gave it a chance and over a few minutes I had found it to be great tasting and I wanted more and its the same way when someone eats it with me. Cheese by post? Who heard of such a daft thing?! Cheese is alive...it must breathe....to wrap it in plastic and ship it is the act of a philistine!! Nobody who loves cheese and sells it would do this to it! It will arrive sweaty and slack.....the taste and texture will be compromised. For the foreign stuff you'd be better off toddling along to your local Deli and see what they have....find a Mom & Pop operation and they will probably let you taste and try before you buy....and tell you all about the cheese into the bargain....online buying is NOT always best!! Buying cheese or wine in this way is barmy!! Taste is a vital part of choosing...you CANNOT 'blind buy' & expect a good result....support your local Deli I say!!

My husband and I ordered this sampler as a special treat, and now we are hooked! The cheese was incredible with our favorite wines, and made for a fun and beautiful late dinner (i.e. the kid was in bed) with warm olives a baguette and some prosciutto! We also ordered some asiago to go with it. DELICIOUS.

Based on the great reviews, I ordered the cheese package as a gift. After waiting several days for an acknowledgment from my friends I brazeningly asked for their assessment of the cheese. Much to my amazement, they had not received the gift. Upon contacting igourment I was informed that based upon their FedEx records it had been delievered (not signed for) and too much time had passed and they would not refund the gift nor redeliver the package. They did offer to sell me the same package at half price.

This product was not refrigerated upon arrival. It has a little sticker that states to refrigerate at once. OK. So you mean to tell me while it's in the mail for 5 days its not being cooled. That's nasty.
