I just had my third Staples shredder die on me. The store let me exchange the first two. I'm not going to bother exchanging this one because I have no doubts that the fourth one will just die in a few months anyway. I'd rather just buy a different brand that works. If I could give it zero stars I would. I will not be buying any Staples brand office products again. Save yourself a lot of frustration and hassle and do not buy this shredder.

This is the best recorder I have for recording EVP - not good for recording voices in large, echo-ey places, but is very easy to work with and I have had NO problems with it and it has been used and abused in all types of weather.. The only time I had a hard time hearing playback was trying to listen to human voices recorded in the pool area on the Queen Mary. (Very echoey area) Laurie Director DCPR

I was very disappointed in this item. It claims to be voice activated--I've followed the instructions but I have never had this feature work. When I have recorded a message the playback is very noisy either though there is no background noise when the recording is being made. I would not recommend this item.

This is a REAL confetti shredder. The pieces are very fine and much smaller than other brands that claim to be confetti shredders. (Compare the shred sizes!) Anything else I have found with such small shreds has been much more than twice the price. Smaller shreds mean more security and less time between emptying the basket, because the shreds take up less room per page. Works very quickly and efficiently, and I have not found this to be much louder than other comparable shredders. I have used 13 gallon bags to catch the shreds in the basket. This makes cleaning out the shreds much easier and neater. Olympus makes GREAT digital cameras, but their recorders are to die for, especially when you interview someone and get back to the newsroom only to discover that while the tape was moving, the condenser mic had decided to go South on you and the only sound you hear is the motor and a weak, faraway voice. Cleaning and demagnatizing the heads didn't work for me, either, so buy a recorder with a blinking red light that indicates what you're recording is what you're getting. For interviews, spend the extra money and get a super quality product.

Our office uses two twin Dymo label printers. We have 12 staff hooked up to them so they are used quite heavily. It was amazing how much gunk had built up on the print heads. Works great!

I've had numerous P-Touch models over the years, and I think the output they produce is superb. The software for the Mac, on the other hand, has lagged far behind its Windows counterpart. Older versions of the software, in particular, had problems with anything except TrueType fonts. Now I see that Brother finally released version 5 of the software for OS X. I downloaded it and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had an entirely different, more Mac-like interface, and it handled all of my fonts just fine. I was quite pleased until I tried to use some of my OTHER programs. It seems that if you uninstall the older version of the software before installing this one--something Brother tells you to do in the instructions--IT WILL WIPE OUT FILES USED BY OTHER PROGRAMS!
