Sorry to all the Apple-haters out there but for the same money you could get an 8GB iPod Touch. There are numerous sales this time of year that bring it down to $199. Yes, the storage is a quarter of the View but the fun factor is more than 4 times the View. When Apple says it's the "funnest iPod ever," they aren't kidding. The video quality of the Touch is outstanding as is the music quality. The Touch's firmware is outstanding. I find myself using it daily for web surfing, entertainment and information of all sorts. The Apps that are available make the Touch extremely useful. There are many productive ones that are free with more being added all the time. I can't say enough positive things about it. Just wanted to mention a few things the other reviewers didn't. This player supports the WMA format which iPOD does not. I have the 8GB unit and expanded it with a 4GB MicroSD card. After adding the Micro SD card, the unit took about 90 seconds to start up, and battery life was reduced from 3 hours to about 30 minutes! Overall, I love it as a MP3 player, but would recommend you go with a unit with 16GB built-in storage if you think you'll need that much room.

LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!!! LOOOOVE IIIIT!!! its soooo easy to use, its very slim and confortable, image is amazing, sound quality is AWESOME!! I've had many mp3's i don't remember them having such clear sound!!.... I just LOVE IT!! the day i got it, i started using it immediatly, and later on, when i wasn't using it, i couldn't stop staring at it! =P (ok i realize that's a little too much) but its SOOO cute!! the red color is a very very nice color, i mean, cause its not bright ugly red, its just a great color this little guy has... battery lasts so much... its the BEST! in every single way!, you would NEVER regreat getting it!

This is a music lovers dream. This holds more than what I can listen to on any given day. Not to mention the audio books, podcasts, music videos, need I say more. This is by far the best purchase from Amazon yet.

Got everything I expected. Lots of storage space for music, easy to setup and get going, and easy to swith back and forth from MP3s to FM tuner. There's also a bunch of other menu features that I haven't even looked into yet.

Had this for years, only problem is it will not stop, stay overnight and next day pick a movie up right from where it left off at, you have to fast forward from one of 4 spots on the movie that are chapters. I've just got a 120 Zune a few weeks ago; it is awesome, but expensive, so go with this for kids, or someone who just wants to listen to music. Oh and the Drag and Drop feature is awesome, you can add music really fast.

I have owned this little player for a week and so far am quite happy with it. I wanted a cheap (under $50) player that would allow me to carry tunes from computer to computer and would be good for running. This stylish gadget fits the bill. Unlike previous releases from Sony, you don't have to use their software (SonicStage) to use it. This is completely drag and drop; managing your music is as easy as managing files and folders. I use it with Windows Media Player and have had no problems. On feature I love is the quick charge, which will give you 90 minutes of play time for a three minute charge (I actually got over two hours from a three minute charge). I've owned two previous Creative ZEN media players and they were excellent until Windows Vista came out. Then I found out Creative would not create updated software. My players became obsolete, I literally could not add new songs/books without tracking down an XP computer first. My ONLY choice (according to Creative) was to upgrade to a newer device. I spent $100's on these two devices (20gb and 60gb sized players) and now they sit on my obsolete hardware shelf. I was so upset I didn't even consider another Creative product, instead I went directly to Apple and bought a 160gb IPOD. I do not recommend EVER buying a creative product because they don't support them. I will NEVER buy another creative product no matter how good it is.

I keep one handy when play with two year old, wake him up or play music when he plays in the tub. Extremely user friendly. Speaker and headset quality is fine given the price. Con: Plasticky. I can see it break in 3-6 month Battery and memory cover keep fell off. Have to keep it in place with a plastic band. I have to keep tracking it in the house.
