I have had my GPS for over a year and it has been great. Yes, the maps are outdated but lets face it, the roads haven't changed that much that it does not work. Momentarilly it thinks we are in a field but for the most part it gets us to where we are going. Now though, I might get an updated version. They are running cheaper these days and may have updated maps. My complaint is if I want to update the map I have to pay at least $50 - $70. They should have the maps cheaper since we just paid a lot of money for the GPS unit. I am hoping they realize this because we can buy a cheap GPS for the same price as an update. Eventually it will be cheaper to buy a new GPS than to pay the same price for a map update. All in all this is a nice GPS. I might choose the flat screen because it can be slipped ... Read More

This is a great watch for stepping up your training regimen. It can sometimes be a little off in calculating pace and distance - but not that much. It has a bad rap for not holding a GPS signal, but I haven't lost a signal yet (having run over 60 miles last month with it). If your'e looking for something with uncanny accuracy, this might not be the best watch for you. (I run a set course, and the watch will record the distance in a range of 5.5 - 5.95 miles - even though I'm running the exact same route). Also, the auto pause feature can be a bit tricky as it will keep timing after you have stopped or not start right away after you start running again. Overall, though, I'm glad I've got it, and it's helping me get faster.

This is a great product. The Bluetooth and MP3 player work flawlessly. I have found that I can be confident in the route given by the GPS. I'm sometimes confused as to why it will choose a long route to get from point A to point B. However, it always gets me where I'm going.

I have owned many GPS'es over the last 15 years or so. I have used the Garmin 7200 every day for two years now. It is absolutly exceptional. No complaints of any kind. And the screen is actually large enough to see and to be able to read it. At the price these are selling for now they are an absolute steal. I would recommend buying one now while they are still available. I just ordered a second Garmin 7200 just to keep as a spare for when this one finally does die.

The Forerunner 301 is a nice GPS unit for the price. It's fairly simple to use, but has a variety of functions for geeks who like to play with such toys. A few issues that I have had with this unit though is the heart-rate monitor is a bit finicky and depending on where you are the GPS signal isn't the best, but these problems rarely occur. Overall a great buy!

I have been using this Garmin 50 for about a year. I really like the wireless transfer of information plus how the Garmin calendar highlights dates of activity. I have no problems with contact for the chest strap. I just wet my chest with a little water and fasten the strap. I am purchasing another one for a friend to use because of my good overall experience.

I purchased a refurbished model of the Garmin eTrex Handheld. I received it within the stated shipping period and in excellent condition. Upon opening the package, I thought there may have been a mistake. The shipped unit looked brand new. No blemishes or scratches anywhere. Works and tested flawlessly when tested next to my Cuda 250. I purchased the handheld to be a backup for when I used a different kayak or travel to another island. It took a bit of fumbling around to figure out all of the nuances. Although the manual was included..... who reads the manual anyway? :) A recommended product if you want a backup or want an entry level handheld gps. No bells or whistles needed, unless you're into that sort of stuff.

I received the GPS sooner than estimated and it has performed up to my expectations. It powers up quickly and after using it for over a month it has been accurate over the trails in both distance and elevations. I definitely recommend it. The only reason I did not rate it a 4 is the Garmin MapSource Topo U.S. 2008 did not come with it, but I knew that when I purchased it. After installing the Topo U.S. it will be a solid 5.
