The Ipod dock works great with my Yamaha HTR-6160 receiver. Its a snap to hook up and the on screen menue is an outstanding feature. It works with almost all ipods, I have 2007 classic and a 2nd generation nano. The nano will not show the on screen menue. All and all I would recommend this dock to anyone with an up to date Yamaha receiver

This keyboard power adaptor was a good price and an essential for the Yamaha keyboard I recently purchased. The digital keyboard goes through batteries quickly, so if you've purchased a keyboard an adaptor is an absolute necessity! This Yamaha adaptor is a great product and it was fast delivery.

I recently purchased an entry level Yamaha 5.1 receiver (model RX-V363). I have been very happy with the receiver and liked the idea of integrating an Ipod dock. However, after I received the dock and spending several hours trying to troubleshoot, I stumbled on an Amazon.com review for the RX-V363 that seemed to indicate I had wasted my time. Apparently, the YDS-11 menu and video capabilities are not compatible with the RX-V363 (the other reviewer learned this after the fact from a Yamaha tech). The RX-V363 remote operates the Ipod (I have an 80GB classic) just fine, but it is of limited use since you have to be standing within two feet to read the Ipod display. It does work to certain degree. But it serverly lack of power. I have a Yamaha amplifier provide 100W to each channel. The last 100W DLH subwoofer failed after few years use. So I thought I would replace with this one also 100W in power. I was wrong. This unit can produce more like 15W. In addition, the last woofer had auto power -- you don't have to turn on power, it will automatically turn the woofer on when income audio signal detected -- this unit has a power button on the back. You have to manually turn it on and off. Whe woofer is located in a built-in rack, it is hard to reach to the power button. This is the only piece Yamaha brand audio equipment ever disappointed me.

After reading the countless reviews about this Yamaha Receiver, i had my doubts about purchasing it. I heard the horrible stories about the HDMI video only. I have a 50 inch plasma, and wanted a good but inexpensive receiver for sound. Well, I purchased it anyway, and i'm glad I did! I was able to get the receiver $121 shipped, and was well worth the purchasing! I'll get the cons out of the way: 1) No HDMI for sound, only video! So the HDMI is pretty useless folks! Don't bother buying it for this reason alone, unless you would like to use HDMI for video ONLY! 2) Only DTS! 3) Configuring up can be a pain for the novice! 4)Terrible manuel! I wanted an amplifier that would get the best sound out of my CD player. This relatively low power receiver has better specs and sound than some integrated amplifiers for hundreds of dollars more. Granted it doesn't have the bells and whistles of many other receivers, but if you want a stereo receiver with solid fundamentals then this is your ticket.

I purchased this unit about 1 month ago and I have been nothing but impressed by it. To get the full effect you will need to hook up a external subwoofer. The sound is exceptional and the fact that it is a all in one unit makes it even more appealing. It would be nice to have more than 2 sets of inputs though.

Yamaha RX-V663BL 665 Watt 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver Great unit for the price. Auto set-up features works great and is very easy. Great sound. I really enjoy and utilize the different sound programs. They really make a difference.
