So far I'm thrilled with the paper profiles for my Epson R1800 that I've made with my Munki. They compare well to profiles that I paid for, although I haven't profiled those same papers yet to see how close they would be to each other.
I am still using a previously purchased profiling device for my monitor and I don't have a projector to profile, so I cannot comment on the Munki's ability to do those.
Maybe I didn't read the instructions closely enough, but I could not get the Munki working unless I had an active internet connection each time I make a profile.
I only gave it 4 stars, but I may change that to 5 in the future after using it for a while. Or maybe I'll downgrade it.....
I'm thrilled for now!

Very easy to use profiler for my Windows XP machine, takes about 10 minutes to run through its auto process and your done. As a pro photographer, accurate color is critical to me. My LaCie 321 monitor was pretty close color wise but I noticed a gradual color shift over the last year so the Eye One gives me confidence that I'm not going to have color matching/ printing problems down the road.

3.X-Rite ColorChecker Chart, 8.5" x 11.5" from: X-Rite

Electronics : X-Rite ColorChecker Chart, 8.5" x 11.5"
What can I say? If you order a color checker, you know what it is, what to expect and how to use it. I wanted it to color calibrate my negative & slide film scans, because scanning produces color casts. All I can say as a review is that the product is all I expected, with vibrant colors that don't change hue as viewing angle changes and is made of good quality plastic that seems it's built to last.

When you see it it is self evident that this is not some mass printed card.

There is a reality we live with. Right now digital cameras can take in far greater color information than our monitors can show us. This is like "play" in a steering mechanism. You don't know exactly what that setting means. Somewhere between viewing and printing ($$$) you need to get a grip on actuality.

Simply getting red right might badly maul everything else. But having a color card attuned to 24 natural colors (those are not just random colors) gives an opportunity to tune your system to reality.

In a slightly untuned system the card will show WRONG colors. So shoot the card in any serious work. Cheap insurance.
