I've had this phone for about a year now, ever since it was introduced. I'm quite choosy about cordless phones and have gone through various models, including two Motorola systems. This is by far the best I've come across and I do recommend it. Lots of thoughtful features that work as advertised. (I note another reviewer claimed "false advertising" and said he couldn't find the 9460-2 model on the Uniden web site; it seems he didn't look hard enough). Is the phone perfect? Naw - the screen light could stay on a tad longer when dialing and the "transmit address book to all stations" ought to transmit the customized ring tones, but these are relatively small flaws that are lost amidst the good overall design. I purchased these radios to use on a cruise and they worked well all over the ship. I can't say much about the range since the ship is only about a 1,000 feet. But the signal went thru alot of walls throughout the ship. The battery life could have been better, but they seemed to last about a day so we just recharged them each night. One thing to note, they mention weather updates on this radio and that is false. There is no weather service option on this radio. Some of the ones just a bit more expensive do have that option. The volume control with 2 buttons isn't as nice as the turn dial control on some of the nicer models. But for the price, this is a good radio. One final note. I'm sure the handsets would've worked great except that our current phone/handsets only work with a maximum of 4 handsets which was not mentioned in the on line manual. Therefore, the two extra handsets that I ordered was useless. I could return the product except that it would cost me more to send out since the shipping was more than the two handsets and also the refund on the phone had a 15% restocking fee so it was worthless for me to ship it out. Make sure you research what your current phone can handle before ordering additional handsets. Best bet is to call the company and get a verbal answer rather than trying to read it on the on-line manual.

I've owned this scanner for a couple years now and it's been reliable and trouble-free. In the San Francisco Bay Area I get a variety of signals: several police dispatch, security companies, ambulance, taxi, ham, even a neighbor's baby monitor. It has proven to be very sturdy (it's been dropped on a few occasions), and the ability to recharge batteries inside the unit (using the AC adaptor) is a nice feature.

I've owned a 900MHz Uniden Extend-A-Phone for over 10 years and I've been happy with it - the only exception there is that the range is pretty limited. With the good experience with the Uniden product and wanting to get something more up to date, I selected the Uniden 5.8 GHz model that included call ID features. Getting the unit up and working was simple enough - as any phone should be. Programming the call entries wasn't too bad but I don't like the method for activating the calls from the list. It makes 3 way calling much more difficult when using entries from the address book. But one of the most annoying things about this phone is that I have to set the time of day and day of week. This CB is perfect for any person interested in CB radios. Mounted it in my 94 Ford Explorer easily. Every aspect of the CB is useful. The dynamic squelch is very useful for beginners when they're not quite sure how to set the squelch just right. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a CB.

I bought this because I knew and trusted the uniden name. I've been very happy with it. The phone works very well. It's so light that I feel like I'm going to break it. But we've dropped it on the ceramic tile floor and it still works! The messages on the machine can occasionally be difficult to hear, but I'm not convinced that it's not the caller's fault. No bells and whistles, just your basic cordless phone, but I'm very happy with it.

This is a good phone for the price. Does what it says it does. The voice quality is clear and nice. 900MHz is less crowded spectrum now as the 2.4G interfered with the wireless routers 802.11b/g. The range is decent. I hope the battery lasts and also I hope it will be durable in the long run.

I bought this phone and when it arrived, it looked great, so I gave good feedback in good faith. After less than two weeks, I lost my cable phone service, and after having a service tech come, he told me my phone was the problem. I was confused since I had just purchased it!!! But he went and got a phone out of his van, and sure enough....there was a dial tone, and it all worked just fine. So, I sent the seller an e-mail explaining this, telling them that I had given them glowing feedback (read it..i really did)!!, and that I would expect the same good faith effort in return. OF COURSE I NEVER heard back from them. They got their money and after that, they don't care if they sell you crappy merchandise.
