I never expected such great frequuency response from such a reasonably priced set of head phones. I love highs and low low frequencies. This set of phones deliver a highly satisfactory range of both.

Considering the price, you couldn't go wrong with these headphones. Sure, there are nicer and more expensive units out there, but I bought these to keep my ears warm during outside walks in the fall and wintertime, and they definitely work for that. I can't imagine using these in warmer temperatures, as they stay toasty. I have larger ears and a size 7-7/8 nug, and they fit comfortably. The sound is definitely richer than my Apple earbuds, but I have little other headphone experience other than that. Again, _for the price_, if you need an over-the-ear set, these will be hard to beat.

Pros: Convenience, comfort, reasonable sound, low cost Cons: Somewhat limited range, not great sound, volume and tuning dials too close together. I am very sensitive to the physical feel of headphones: I can't keep most of them on for an extended period without irritating my ears. These have just the right amount of springiness to stay in place without causing irritation. The sound is pretty good, but not startlingly so, but then again, I'm listening to HDTV / DVD sound, so it may simply be the source. These live up to their billing: they stay in your ears. Unfortunately, they HURT. You can move them around a bit and kinda balance them on the edge of falling out to reduce the discomfort but it would be nice if someone would invent ear buds that stay in the ears without pain. Still, I prefer these to all others I've tried that fall out when I move my head. I listen to audiobooks and the sound quality of these is fine for this purpose. I doubt any ear buds deliver great sound. I'd buy these again because I will put up with some discomfort to ensure the buds stay put.

I am a college student who commutes everyday by train which means a lot of noise all the time. If I ever turned up the volume with normal headphones to hear the audio, I would go deaf. So I went to search for a new set of headphones for myself on amazon and found this and ordered it. Shipping was extremely fast and FREE! I thought that it would take at least 5 days but it came in a day and a half with standard shipping! Even though it does not clearly say it has noise cancellation on the box, the feature is built in allowing me to listen to my iPod on the lowest volume setting in many busy train stations. I bought these to replace a pair of Sharper Image noise cancelling headphones which were stolen at the gym. I used the recently on a commercial flight and they did eliminate a lot of the background rumble from the airplane. My seat-mate had the Bose mid-range noise cancelling headphones (quiet comfort...2 I think) and we traded for a bit to compare. I noticed no difference in the noise cancelling abilities of the two sets. (I did not listen to enough music with the Bose to do an extensive sound quality comparison). The Sennheiser headphones have made my life so much more enjoyable. I do not have to ask my husband, whose hearing is better than mine, to turn up the volume. I can walk areound the kitchen preparing a meal or cleaning up after one and not miss a beat. I can turn the volume down for commericials. Wonderful addition to my life!
