Actually, well designed and easy to use. Unfortunately, when dubbing tape to DVD which is the only use I put it to, the audio and video are severely out of sync. It's going back to Amazon ASAP. I doubt that Amazon will reimburse me for all the trashed DVD blanks. It also got into some sort of loop finalizing the first DVD I made from a 5 hour tape. After 30+ minutes of finalizing, I had to unplug it to stop it. Caveat emptor.

The Samsung NC10 is clearly the best netbook on the market right now. As a previous owner of the Asus 1000h I can say that this notebook beats the 1000h easily. While the specs for both laptops are very similar, where the NC10 excels is the keyboard. The NC10 probably has best keyboard of all the netbooks. Most of the keys are also naturally placed unlike how the 1000h is missing the right "shift" key which really bothered me. Another area where the NC10 beats the 1000h is the touchpad and the touchpad buttons itself. Even though the Samsung has a single button for both functions it presses really easily and is not ultra stiff like the 1000h I had and the touchpad sensitivity is alot better than the 1000h.

The NC10 also has great styling and feels very sturdy with 3 usb ports in addition ... Read More

Four months ago, we bought the Sony KDL52WL140 from Sams club. Three weeks ago we replaced it with the Samsung LN52A850. What a difference! (but, give Sams club a "thumbs up" because they took the Sony back for a full refund - no problems at all)

The Samsung has more dynamic color than the Sony and the color stays true from wider viewing angles. I know some people complain about the internal speakers on the Samsung but I cannot speak to that issue as we never use the TV speakers anyway. The Samsung is much cooler (as in creates less heat) than the Sony. The Sony was way too hot (even when the brightness and backlighting were set to low levels.)

The Samsung is thinner than the Sony and also has a USB port for playing videos and such from thumb drives, etc.

We could ... Read More

For those that, like me, want to hook up a PC to this TV, note that while it has a DB15 input, you can only use that for 1024x768 output - which is a 5:4 screen ratio, so on the widescreen, everything gets flattened a little bit, and while the TV allows you some options for zooming in on, say, component input-video sources, it doesn't allow this for the DB15 input. I thought this was a bit of an oversight by Samsung since it is a 720P widescreen, so a native resolution of 1280x720 would make more sense.

However, If your video card has a DVI output you can buy a DVI-to-HDMI adapter (as cheap as $6 some places), and connect that to the TV using a plain HDMI cable. Using this method my PC (using an nVidia 7900 GS card) allowed me to output plain 720P output to the TV, that the video drivers allow output ... Read More

Bought this for the bedroom. Setup easy. Vertical viewing angle is limited so I had to put some foam under the back of the stand to angle
it down somewhat. The stand for the 19" adjusts, but not the 22".

Picture is good, even on the analog channels. Strong tuner.

Once you set up the channels, you have to put in exactly the channel number on the remote..for example, 4-1, not just 4. I have a larger Samsung that will go to 4-1 when I enter 4.

All else excellent.

This is my third Samsung toner cartridge in just under three years. It's a shame these original equipment cartridges cost so much, but none of the refilled toner cartridges I've purchased come close to Samsung's quality and value. And don't get me started on the hassles I've had with the refill guys! Bite the bullet and buy a real Samsung cartridge. The cost is more than off-set by the time and grief you'll save.

The set arrived several days early, and, being cold in PA on Nov 11th, I was told not to plug in the set until several hours had passed--this from the delivery men, who normally would help set up the set. I waited from the AM delivery until about 9PM, when I was sure the set was warmed up. In the meantime, I had hooked up the Blu-Ray player and HDMI receiver to the set, and all was plugged into an AC line cleaner and conditioner. FINALLY: the moment of TRUTH! The picture was wonderful! Good on regular DVDs and satellite TV--although the thin LED sets have the 120 refresh rate and 24Hz capabilities that this DLP set lacks. But on Blu-Ray discs, it is easily the match of my Sony XBR6 in our living room--and that set is only a 32" (smaller is usually "cleaner.") HOWEVER, I had an apprehension about ordering something ... I have been saving and doing research for the last year for a flat panel TV and I could not be happier. I have read all about 1080p vs 720p and plama vs LCD and I am completly satisfied with this TV. You can not beat the price and the picture looks great. From the naked eye I could tell no difference between this TV and the 1080p version. I have had no issues and I do not think you need to spend $500 or more for a differnt TV. If you are looking for 50" or glorious TV, you have found it.

These don't last quite as long as Duracell or Energizer, but if your looking for some cheap batteries to put in the kids toys, or a small low power item they will work just fine. For the length of use I've gotten out of these compared to other brands, this is a decent value.
