This inexpensive vacuum works well for my tile kitchen, tile entryway, hardwood hall and hardwood living room, but It doesn't work very well at all for low pile carpets. It doesn't get in the corners (but I don't think any of the robotic vacuums do), so I swept the corners into the middle. It picks up a lot of dirt, and cat and dog hair, and for the price, it was worth it. I am disappointed that it won't do my low pile carpet (it kind of jiggles back and forth as it's moving around the carpet). I think if it stayed about 4 hours in one room (and the rooms aren't large), it would work on the carpet. You do need to move your furniture around so it doesn't get stuck, and it does not like uneven surfaces. It will get stuck on them. All in all, I'm happy with it though. This is my first ...
