ok... here's the thing: I bought the router... I have a windows vista pc... and a "mybook" usb harddisk... my brother didn't have any problem connecting with the mybook plugged in into the storage link cause he has a windows XP pc... bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbuuuuuuuuuttttttt... I did... so I did a little research at the linksys website and it said that I had to upgrade the firmware... fine.. I did it... the whole thing crashed... I had to contact linksys to fix the problem... and still... when I thought that it was working fine... It started to freeze. I had to turn off and on every hour... This phone is to expensive for what it does, I am very disappointed with it. it loses connection often shows unavailable and I have to unplug it from the USB port and plug it back again to work, I am glad I am a computer tech I even found out by myself that I have to remove the battery out to reset it and make it to work again which it does not say in the owner's manual.I use an older version of skype 2.5.0.113 because this phone does not work with a new version of skype. I updated skip and I had to downgrade to make it work. I called the customer support and someone told me that it does not work with the new version of skype. I am alerting people to stay away from it or buy at your own risk , if this 2.5.0.113 version stop working which is already outdated this phone will be completely useless

I have a number of them installed at client locations to create site to site VPNs and they just work. Setup of the router is easy, as is setup of the site to site VPN. If you need to connect two separate physical locations, this is the right router for the job.

I purchased three of these units and used them for about 6 months. The WAP200 is not a quality product. There is a firmware bug in the unit that produces a ton of broadcast ping's throughout the network. After 6 months, Linksys posted a firmware update to address this problem. After attempting to update the firmware on two of my units, neither of them work. After reading the forum postings, it appears that this is a common problem with this model. I called Linksys to troubleshoot the problem on the phone. After 45 minutes I finally spoke to a person on the other side of the planet. They were not helpful at all. After talking on the phone with their technician for 30 minutes, the call was disconnected. I replaced these units with cheap Belkin Wireless G routers and set it to "Access Point" mode. ... The switch has worked flawlessly. Unfortunately the switch is larger than the one it replaced and we had to get a deeper wall rack for it, but I would purchase again regardless.

This product is far superior to the Linksys a&g adapter which it replaces, because it has a much greater and more powerful range. Also, Linksys customer service is excellent and provided assistance in removing the previous software and installing the new program.

For the price, I guess this switch is ok. The first one I bought starting have trouble with the port on it. Ports would just go dead and I'd have to switch the cable at that port to another open port. I called support serveral times and spoke with different technicians, but no one could get the switch to work correctly on those dead ports. They were supposed to email me RMA instructions, which I never got. I called multiple times to get the RMA instructions, but each time I called they wanted diag my switch again! Needless to say, I ended up buying a second one, which has been working. I still have never gotten LinkSys to give me an RMA on the first. So it's sitting in its box - big waste of money.
