I bought two of these cartridges to go with my new printer; the price was right. However; now that I've found out how to do fast draft on my printer, these cartridges still run out of ink fast. I'm a writer/researcher so I go through a lot of copies per week. So, I've ordered the HP 74XL, here's hoping I'll get more copies before I have to change out cartridges! www.sociosights.com

This cartridge produces beautiful photos, but don't expect to get much out of it if you plan on printing big projects. I am printing on A4 paper (7x11 inch photo) using premium photo paper in normal mode with approximately 80% coverage (there is some text on the photo). I only got 12 copies before the "low ink" alert came on. I just about had a fit. I have to print a total of 100 copies, so the cost just for ink is going to be over $170.00. Now I wish I had just ordered the prints instead of printing them myself. Bummer.

I bought the original HP-35 back in the early 1970s. I loved RPN then and I love it now. I don't understand why HP nearly gave it up after Texas Instruments moved into the market. Anyway, the HP-35S has everything I need and more. My only criticism: Why isn't there a help feature? You should be able to press and key and get instant help on it.

We tend not to be at the "bleeding" edge of technology -- usually buy things when they become mainstream or needed as a replacement. We had a really great 20 inch NEC Multisync CRT -- excellent color. It finally failed, so we opted for an LCD monitor. We settled on this monitor because of the great reviews and the Amazon sale price. The reviewers who gave it five stars were dead on about the image quality. Did you know ink has an expiration date? Amazon sells enough of these that the stock stays fresh. My cartridges had over a year's shelf-life left on them when they arrived.

I recently bought a new HP printer that uses these #74 and 75 cartridges. My old 920c used #78 and 15. They were about 31 dollars each, but held 19ml. That's a 1.63 per ml. The 74/75s are 17 dollars and only hold 3.5ml, that's 4.86 per ml. Even with the XL carts (12 ml) at the sale price, its 2.40 per ml. (Before S&H) I gave that new printer away. My old one may be slower, but its loads cheaper. I also notice now that HP doesn't list the ink capacity on their cartridges anymore. Next printer I get, I'm switching.

Got here very quickly and it's the real hp cartridge too. Everything works fine and saved lots of money too, will buy from here from now on.
