I had a 3 year old Altec Lansing travel speaker set which served me very well for going travelling/staying in hotels etc...nothing too pricey but something that served me well. Thought about something more substantial for the home to take outside and use in the loft/garden. Bought the Bose and tried it out with a few tracks on its first outing and the sound is quite incredible. It seems a bit basey at first but once you've tuned your ear in, you'll appreciate the hi-fi roundness of its delivery. 2 tracks that you should try are Phil Collins, In the Air and The Police, Walking on the Moon- both show up any imperfections in the speakers as they are well known productions...the Bose gives a simply stunning performance. Yes its pricey but how often will I buy another speak set for an ipod?

I love the Sonos system and gave it 5 stars, but the stand seems a tad overpriced at $50. It is solid / well built though.

This product performs as advertised.I had the logitech equivilent and it was junk.Not vista compatible. Not supported at all.It was nothing but problems.This is true plug and play wireless.Up and running in less than five minutes and completely reliable.Sound is great for wireless too.Have no doubts if you want music from your pc without wires.

I absolutely love the Roku SoundBridge. I love it so much that I have three of them: One M1001 and two M500s. They're pretty much the same except for the display. The Soundbridge is absolutely fantastic. I've used it with Windows Media Connect, the server built into Windows Media Player, with Rhapsody, and with Yahoo Music. It plays all of the songs in my library and licensed tracks as well. The sound quality is great. It's actually much, much better than connecting my PC to my stereo (either using RCA cables or digital optical/coax). I've also had absolutely no hiccups or stutters either using wired ethernet or wi-fi. It blows the SlimDevices Squeezebox I used to have completely out of the water. Lets be frank, the BOSE system is definitely an overpriced product. So, it is OK product that performs so so... it is also $500. If you really would like a system that sounds 100 times better and costs slightly less, I would look into the Tivoli Model 2 with the Tivoli subwoofer addition. I have tried both systems, and was only satisfied when I got my Tivoli Model Two. The Tivoli Model Two is definitely going to be classic and a system people talk about for years... mark my words. What can I say, it was designed by Henry Kloss, one of the most important sound engineers of our time. I have the new ipod dock with remote hooked up to it and it sounds amazing! I purchased the Sonos system 3 or 4 Months ago and am very please with the results. The installation was simple, I had music streaming from my PC to my Home theater receiver within 30 minutes. Although The controller is a bit klunky and hard to navigate, it provides full functionality to play whatever I want, wherever I want without moving. I have 3 zones installed now and can easily expand to additonal zones. Highly Recommend the system if you have the budget.
