The foot pod helps me keep accurate results for my weekly running log. I feel it is more accurate than the equipment at the gym. However I wish it was easier to take on and off I like to switch out my running shoes.

Good GPS unit but..... I move it between my boats and truck. I have the XM Ant with Weather option. Big aid in avoiding Gulf thunderstorms. Power plug difficult to insert and remove. Plug broke after 3-4 times. Garmin customer service very difficult to work with, after several phone calls, emails, they finally sent me the wrong cord as a replacement. Battery failed after 11 months....forget trying to get Garmin to replace that.

This gps locked on to satillites even in remote Utah canyons, is intuitive and works well. I am very pleased.

My son and I used this cool device on our recent fishing trip and it performed well. We spotted fish concentrations with ease in no time. This device is handy especially if you are renting a boat and have no time to waste to catch fish quickly. I love this device. However, I would also like to see some product enhancements though. 1. Include a SAVE SETTING feature - this device does not save your settings. You have to re-set it each time you power up. 2. Include an instant fish depth numerical screen readout. The current design has graphical boxes that you have to arithmetically calculate each time it spots fishes (i.e. divide the depth by ten and multiply the shaded depth indicator box on the screen). No time for math --- only fishing!!

I didn't expect much for the price I paid, but was pleasently surprised. The screen is very easy to read, and the automatic features actually work without being fine tuned. Far and away the nicest feature about this unit is the dual beam transducer. It has great accuracy not only under the boat, but off to the sides. Lastly the option of mounting the transducer to the trolling motor without having to buy an adapter was icing on the cake.

I have to give it a five because it is exactly as advertised. It functions as advertised. I use it in 5' to 30' and it when set up (using the menu) as suggested it shows the stumps, brush, and stickups. I think that some would say it doesn't do this or it doesn't do that but COME ON, it only cost 100 bucks. My bottom line on a product is it a good value for the money. Yes this is.

I have used the [ASIN:B000ETTPCG Garmin 160C Portable Fishfinder (Dual Beam)]Garmin 160C several times now and find that it is quite easy to use and it works well not only locating fish but the constant depth reading has saved my boat being hung up in shallow water areas where I fish. The optional audible alarm that I added was a plus as well so you can hear the warning of fish and depth audibly as well as see on the screen both fish and water depth situations. Great item for the low cost!!

This is my second Lowrance unit, this one specifically bought for Geocaching. I've had no issues with it. One thing I would recommend is some kind of screen protector, as it is a glossy plastic and any scratches show up, it's cheap insurance for keeping it looking new. Battery life is good, used it on a all day Kayaking trip keeping a tracklog, backlight off when I wasn't looking at it. Still has over 50% left after 6 hours of constant use. GPS signal acquisition is good, holds a lock well. The magnetic compass makes honing in on a location nice at close range where GPS derived heading gets jumpy at low speeds. Color screen is amazing with backlight on. Direct sunlight reading is good without it, but expect to use the backlight a lot if there isn't sunlight to illuminate the screen. It hasn't ... Read More
