Our Epson all in one died and we ordered the Canon MX-850 from Amazon. We are absolutely delighted with the performance and quality of output from this unit. I have never been more satisfied with a printer purchase. I have read some of the criticisms here but all I can say is for $180.00 in a home office environment you can't do any better. If you are thinking of buying this you won't be disappointed.

Make sure you have your own USB cable, cuz it doesn't come with one. It's pretty big for not being a 3-in-1 printer. The instructions for quick start-up aren't great: One instruction says, "Make sure printer power is off before proceeding," and then the very next instruction is, "Turn printer power on."

I've had two Epson printers, and never again! They were slow as molasses to print plain documents, they jammed frequently, they used a lot of ink, and worst, the printer would very often fail for no reason, requiring a rebooting of the computer and a lot of frustration over wasted time. I've had friends report the exact same problems. Anyway, I just received the Canon Pixma MP 470. I am rating it 4 stars only because I've only had it for 24 hours, but so far, I am in love. It was amazingly easy to install, and I am not good with hardware. You do need to connect it with a usb printer cord as suggested as an additional purchase when you order the device. I bought this al in one primarily for the wireless capability and after extensive research into other more simple models....even though I dont need a fax I loved all the features it has and if yo need a fax its all you could nee.

This printer is a Consumer Report's Best Buy. So far I like it. It seems very efficient on ink. Only time will tell, but so far so good.

I want to start out saying I LOVE HP products. I have two laptops a desktop and this is my 3rd or 4th printer from them. I have always been happy with their products. Until now.. I purchased this printer because I wanted a wireless networking printer. My laptops roam around my house and leaving a desktop on to serve as a print server is a waste of resources. And my wireless router is in one room while I wanted the printer to reside in another. I bought this printer about two years ago and was very excited about the list of cool features. 4 hours after plugging it in I got off the phone with tech support. Turns out the networking doesn't play well with windows firewall. I never did get it to scan as designed-it worked if I initiated the scan from the PC, but not from the printer. It finally gave up the fight and I got the same failure as so many others I have read about. All the lights start blinking and it says "Reset Power". The best I can tell, that means throw it away and go buy a Canon. While you never like it when a product dies prematurely, I can't complain about its print quality, faxing, or copying. Great printer. I read many of the reviews and it is definitely worth buying. Very easy to install. The scanner and printer have worked flawlessly. For photo copying I due recommend glossy paper as pictures can be better appreciated. Image size of printer is bigger than it appears in photo but will fit nicely in a standard desktop table. It does not come with a USB cable which I did not know prior to purchasing but, not a big deal as I was able to purchase one at a local walmart store. (Price is between 10-15 dollars depending on lenth of cable). Several additional features can be added such as memory card. Would recommend this product hands down.

I purchased this printer not really expecting the wireless printing to work as advertised (due to some of the prior reviews) so I feel it necessary to set the record straight. Setting up wireless printing was remarkably easy (following the directions actually works!) and it's been up and running the past two months without any issue. Everything works exactly as advertised. This was all set up on an all Mac network with Panther, Tiger and Leopard versions running.

The ip90v, my laptop, and both power supplies fit nicely in a laptop case. I used it as my carry-on luggage to South Africa. The printer exceeded my expectation in speed, ease of use and portability. Dual voltage made it more convenient to use with 240 volts in Africa.
