I THINK THAT THE IPOD CLASSIC IS A REALLY GOOD IPOD. THEY CHANGED MANY DETAILS FROM THE LAST IPOD BUT IT ISN'T A VERY BIG DEAL. SOMETHING THAT I DON'T LIKE IS THAT YOU CAN'T ZOOM INTO PICTURES.

im pretty happy with the purchase of this ipod, it was a gift and it works really well.

First Ipod I ever bought. I am not a fan of apple, but after doing significant research i realized the ipod touch is just so inferior to any other mp3 player. Ipod worked great for the first week then whenever i was on safari or youtube it would randomly exit out of the browser. I would load browser up again and yet again it would exit out of it to the main screen. I kept trying it and it kept doing it so i returned it. I am waiting for my new one but if this one doesnt work either i will start to get a little agitated.The ipod touch is just so much better than anything else out there. The samsung p2 has its problem as well as some of the creative ones. I just knew it would be a great product and it is.

I bought this product because I wanted a player with more memory space because my 1Gb was filled. I also purchased this type of player because I was not interested in viewing videos or photos (like an I-pod). The other appealing thing is that this unit is powered by an easily attainable AAA battery. I did not want a player powered by the lithium built-in battery because I don't always have a means of re-charging this type of battery. I did not want the unit to be drained while on a camping trip or similar outing, b/c I would not have a computer available to plug a USB into. I realize this type of MP3 player is not produced in quantities due to the migration to I-Pods but I hope they continue to make these and even expand with more memory. AAA is the way. When I broke my original I-Pod (classic), I thought I would save money and buy this smaller one. It's really cute and perfect for the gym...for about a month until you realize 240 songs really is not enough. You can take off old songs and upload new ones, but this is a pain. My advice is to spend the extra money to get more memory storage.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago. Loaded software, charged player, downloaded songs. After about 10 minutes of playing, screen went black, couldn't charge, it was just dead. Ordered a replacement. This time it played for maybe 15 minutes, and then the exact same thing happened. It is truly a piece of junk.
