This really is a great product. No doubt about it. It was very easy to hook up. My gripe is with the instruction manual. When I called Samsung to get assistance the person helping me told me my product was damaged and needed to be repaired. I sent it back to Amazon and was shipped another one with no problems at all, this went smoothly. When I found the same "problems" with the second unit I called Samsung again and was given a different story and received a lot of nonsense for instructions on how to get the unit to work. I tried doing what I was told with no success. I called them again and again and again. Two days out of the box proved too much for this unit. The volume control lock up at about mid level and would not go beyond that (22 on the units scale). I immediately wrap up the unit and return the darn thing. Before this mis-fire the sound and qulity of the product was impressive. I just got a bad pick or are there more out there? I did not want to find out and did not request a replacement.

Unit does have good AM/FM reception. Sounds good too. Only 'buggy' thing about it is having to go through the menu of options to select things like sleep timer or presets - a simple button would be better & easier to use.

Boston Acoustics Horizon Duo High Performance AM/FM Clock Radio (Midnight) I like everything about this radio except the FM tuner , the heat it makes, and the odor. It pulls in distant stations well but with static. This is a common problem easily improved by changing from stereo to mono but this radio does not have that option! It makes a lot of heat when off, indicating it is not Energy Star compliant. Tech support says they cannot tell me how many watts it uses when off or on. And it has a strong chemical odor they say is excess adhesive.

Sangean HD Radio is an adequate addition to your audio component group. It does all that sangeen claims, however, for the price, it would be nice if it had a few more bells and whistles, like a sleep function, a turn on function, etc.

I own it. If mine is typical, don't buy it. I've had mine about a year and it just hit the garbage can. Initially, it was a problem because the default display isn't on an output my TV or cable box default to. This meant blindly pushing buttons until I acciently found the secret handshake to get the menu on my display. It holds it there until a power failure, and then we start over again. Then, over time, it started having trouble recognizing blank disks. Then it would recognize the disk and record, but not be able to finalize the recording (sometimes, even though it showed a FINALIZE FAILURE, the disk would be OK. Sometimes not.) This is my second ATSC Tuner card. The first one was Happauge HVR1600. I bought the Happauge first based on reviews and reputation, but boy was I disappointed. While the anlog part work just fine, ATSC performance was dismal at best. It picked up only 4 of 16 digital stations my Samsung ATSC Tuner boxes were getting. This is using the same feed, from CM4221 UHF antenna mounted in attic. After the disappointment with Happauge, I became very skeptical of similar products and gambled on Kworld PCI-115 which was almost cheapest around. The reason I got Kworld is because of "analog tuner". Happauge model uses "digital tuner" for ATSC tuning, and I've heard of digital tuner problems years ago, but did not expect the problem would be still there.
