It's perfectly fine and safe to use during pregnancy. I'm a person who exercised 3-4 times a week prior to getting pregnant however and it was far too easy for an intermediate exercise enthusiast. I by no means am a "power" exerciser, but this seemed to not push me even in the slightest bit - maybe that's its intent - I was wishing for a little more.

I just did this workout for the first time this morning and was pleasantly surprised to have jello arms and legs afterwards. Sometimes Pilates/Yoga workouts can tend to be on the easy side but this one is definitely a challenge. I did have a decent amount of experience with yoga and pilates before doing this routine but found it to be easy enough to follow that a beginner could do it. She also does 3-4 sets of every exercise so at least by the last time, you can catch on. I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes yoga and pilates.

I have used this dvd only 2 times because i did not really like it. There is to much jumping back and forth in this dvd. I am not a fan of that and i do yoga regularly. It is not one of my favorites. I recommend bryan kest power yoga series, they are much smoothly ran.

The am yoga portion of the dvd is the best way I have found to start my day. It really loosens up the back, legs, and hips! At the same time, it helps relieve stress and worry. A peacefulness follows that lasts long after the workout. Thank you, Rodney Yee and everyone who helped make it! I've been doing this for a long time and hope to continue for a long time to come!

I just received this two disc set. My only concern is that I did not receive the QiGong documentary DVD. What I received were two beginning QiGong DVD's. My son lost my Amazon receipt and I can not contact anyone at Amazon so I am trying to go through Gaiam for the replacement. As far as the workout goes, I have done it twice and both times I felt completely energized and happy afterwards. My blood pressure was down and I felt content and well all day. I highly recommend this beginning QiGong DVD for anyone looking to achieve a strong sense of well being and contentment. The instruction as with all Gaiam workouts is clear and the movements are slow and precise so you can easily follow along. I am hooked.

I borrowed this from the library because of the reviews stating it was so basic that you might only watch it a few times. I plan to buy it now though because it is so helpful to an absolute beginner like myself and the slower pace is more relaxing to me. I believe the Yoga for Dummies will better prepare me for the Yoga Journal DVDs which I also enjoy, but am not quite ready for yet. I'd also mention that my eight year old loves to do this with me and asked me to purchase more of Sara Ivanhoe's DVDs.

I've practiced with different Pilates DVD's, and I thought this one was really good. I felt the exercises were challenging enough and effective, and I like that you can choose to work on certain target areas as opposed to doing the full 30-minute work-out. The 10-minute bonus segment is also a nice feature. It can be used by itself for a quick overall work-out or can be added on to the full work-out for times you prefer more exercise. Ellen has great energy and her style of instruction is clear, evenly paced, and easy to follow.

I decided to try and workout during this pregnancy. This video is a great workout. It is easy to follow and definitely challenging.

this workout never lets you get bored and it keeps moving. before you realize it, you've completed nearly 40 minutes of cardio and toning. you don't need extra equipment and there are different moves for all fitness levels. the instructor switches things up often enough to keep you from losing interest or simply mentally tiring out.
