I absolutely love this dvd! Jillian promises results and she isn't lying! I've done this workout for about 3 weeks now (with the exception of two days) and the changes in my body are great! I've dropped a dress size (although I've only lost about 5 lbs) and I've even noticed an increase in my strength and stamina. I wasn't really big on exercise before I began this "shred" but I was able to keep up and I have never before sweated in my life the way I do after these work-outs! I have not yet reached level 3 (it looks somewhat intimidating) but I can't wait for even more of a challenge. Definitely worth the money. Other reviews list the long, unavoidable intro as a con, but I just use it as extra stretching time. Stick with it and you'll definitely see results! Thanks Jillian!

My wife have been trying to get me to try yoga for awhile and got me this DVD. I am really enjoying it alot and learning. I like the selections and instruction. Highly recommended.

I ordered this DVD along with another prenatal yoga video (Jennifer Wolfe), and find that this one is less challenging as a workout than the other. It is very well done, though. She is a very thorough instructor, and definately is well focused and educated on the needs of pregnant students. While this may not be the equivalent of a yoga fitness class, I feel that it is excellent for relaxing stretching and muscle toning throughout pregnancy. I would probably recommend it more to those in their late 2nd and 3rd trimesters, or those that have never done yoga before.

Skeptical at first, but decided to purchase this DVD based on reviews. I'm very glad I did! This is a wonderful routine with relaxation techniques as well as stretching and light anaerobic. A nice thing is you can create a personalized routine to switch it up from day to day or week to week so you won't get bored. I like to use this in between strenuous workouts and/or stressful days at work because it helps to stretch my muscles, provide a light workout, and relax my mind, body, and soul.

Wow! I thought I was in pretty good shape until I gave this workout a try. Within a few short minutes, my heart rate was WAY up, and I was sweating bullets. Great workout. Definitely NOT easy. I do enjoy this video for several reasons. First, they do offer lower impact options for each movement, which is nice if I seem to be lacking in energy on a perticular day. Second, I get to work out with people who are struggling the same way I am with the routines (breathing heavy, losing balance, etc.). The only thing that I was disappointed with was the fact that Bob doesn't actually do the workout with you. He gives you instructions and pointers but seems to just walk around and observe. Wow! Talk about "Feel the Burn!" The first time I used it I couldn't even keep up, and had to moderate and do less of certain reps, but even then, just by doing the best you can without exhausting yourself, you will feel the difference! This workout is super!

This is a great exercise DVD for people who like to dance or just love to feel the beat while you are exercising. If you work hard, you are definitely tired at the end of the workout!

I own the VCR version of Sweatin to the Oldies 1, 2, and 3. Right now I am regularly using the Sweatin to the oldies 1. Sweatin to the oldies 2 has some mat work and some work with light weights. Basically they are fun, so I want to do the workout. If you like "oldies" type of music, then you will like this video: "Go Sailing"; "It's my party"; "He's my guy"; "Twist"; are some examples.

I borrowed this from the library because of the reviews stating it was so basic that you might only watch it a few times. I plan to buy it now though because it is so helpful to an absolute beginner like myself and the slower pace is more relaxing to me. I believe the Yoga for Dummies will better prepare me for the Yoga Journal DVDs which I also enjoy, but am not quite ready for yet. I'd also mention that my eight year old loves to do this with me and asked me to purchase more of Sara Ivanhoe's DVDs.
