It wasn't too long ago that the new series of Doctor Who started up, and before that day, I had only heard of the show in passing. I gave it a shot, and coming from a clean slate, I found I loved the show and have been watching it even since. One of the things that really captivated me about the show was anything was possible. You could be watching an epic space battle one episode, then on to meeting Shakespeare in the next. All the while, the show delivers on comedy and even some drama, the show is definitely a step higher in that department from what I have heard and seen since I started watching this show compared to the original.

A basic summary of your average episode would be that the Doctor and his current companion(s) travel through time and space, sometimes visiting famous ... Read More

I had heard how THIS movie was the ultimate ice hockey movie, but I thought it was sooooo bad and soooo did not portray the game of ice hockey. If it hadn't been for the (oftentimes unnecessary) very foul language ,there wouldn't have been much dialogue. I thought it portrayed hockey players in a very negative way. I did not find it funny or enjoyable (and I have a pretty open-minded sense of humor). To say the least, I am VERY sorry that I spent money buying this DVD.

This movie shows violence toward women, men and the narrow escape of a kitten from an ATM machine.

Ahhhhhhh! What can I say? Christian Bale is an incredible actor and his portrayal of Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho" is unforgettable. Bale's Patrick Bateman is drop-dead gorgeous, cut, successful, swaggering, demented, obsessed and, of course, p-s-y-c-h-o. And comedic in a very, very dark way. His livingroom scene with Jared Leto (his nemesis in the movie) is so disturbing you DO indeed catch yourself grinning. Patrick's obsession with Jared Leto's character AND business cards, helps the viewer understand that Patrick is not just insanely jealous -- he IS insane.

Women in this movie are just meat for Patrick's grinder. He enjoys killing. Women are easy ... Read More

Robot Chicken was pretty funny and the only handicap is that it is was too short...Funny situations, exploring some really extreme what if scenarios from the Star Wars Saga. I think that Seth really did great work and I loved the doll animations.

As I'm quite sure you know the basic storyline of Star Wars, I am just reviewing the features of this set. I really enjoyed the quality of the remastered movies. I saw the special editions in the theater, but these include even more updates, such as character continuity with Anakin and Palpatine. I never owned the complete original series before (tho I've always been an avid fan), so I am happy with it.

"Mother of Tears" was, without a doubt, one of the most uninspired films I've ever watched. The movie consisted of very little substance and absolutely no style. In fact, the movie never seemed like an actual movie to me. Instead, it just seemed like several independently shot scenes shoestringed together by what was supposed to be a storyline. The trouble is NOTHING seemed to connect.

This was director Dario Argento's third installment to his story of the "Three Witches." The first movie (and by far the best) in the trilogy was "Susperia." The second was "Inferno," and this little stinker was the third.

Asia Argento who (besides being daddy-director's little girl) cannot act her way out of a wet paper sack, plays Sarah, who works at a local Rome museum. She and a friend ... Read More

If I could give this zero stars, I would.

The entirety of the movie is mindless, nonsensical tripe. It makes no sense WHATSOEVER and isn't even funny. Not once! I feel considerably dumber for having watched it and for having been swindled out of $7.50.

This is quite literally the WORST movie I've ever seen. And I've seen Plan 9 From Outer Space (that was at least humorous for its poorly filmed B-movie-ness)!

That people actually enjoy this movie or pay their hard-earned money to watch it makes me truly wonder about the future of our society...

I viewed Somewhere In Time on the television. I enjoyed the mystery of it and also the time period. I determined to start a library of movies I enjoyed so I could randomly relax and forget everything. I have done so and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Somewhere In Time. Touching love story mixed with exciting conflict. Join me, won't you?

It's hard to believe it's been 30 years since Doctor Who came back to America in the form of Tom Baker, I missed the Pertwee episodes from their 1973 run (and in DC they were preempted that summer by the Watergate hearings).
I'd rush home from high school to see the show, a little fuzzy from the station in Baltimore.
But I was captivated.

This episode was one of the many great ones. Great mood that overcame any small defects.

I wonder if for this DVD they fixed the problem with episode one. In the epsiodic and combined version I saw, the first episode was missing the music and sound effects. It's fascinating to see from a technical standpoint how the sound and music contribute to the atmosphere and mood of a televised show.

For mindless entertainment I love to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail. There is no rhyme or reason to the movie, just a bunch of people doing stupid stuff and making it hilarious. There's no need for neverending flatulance jokes (which is overplayed in almost every comedy of today) or a need to make fun of different races and cultures just to get a cheap laugh. What it is is pure stupidity that makes you practically wet yourself when you watch it. I couldn't tell you how many times I have watched this movie and laugh hysterically every time (as if it's the first time I'm seeing it and hearing the jokes). This movie is perfect for those who feel like today's comedy's are overdone. It's full of fresh comedy (which no one since has even tried to copy) and doesn't bore you with repetitiveness

This movie, however, ... Read More
