I enjoyed this more than The Ark of Truth. Looking back it makes a nice closing chapter in the 'trilogy' that includes the season 10 series finale, Ark of Truth and this movie. Each one gives a sense of closure to all major SG1 themes: the relationship between characters (Finale), the Ori(plus the replicators on AoT) and now the System Lords. The fist 30 minutes or so where a little boring for me because it has been reveled before but once the story gets going its a lot of fun. People who likes SG1 because it is set on earth in the present will probably like it. There where dog fights (F-15 vs Gliders) reminiscent of ID4 and a a few other things that reminded me of certain Season 5 episode of Babylon 5. I didn't discover Firefly until the reruns hit the Sci-Fi Channel - call me a late bloomer. What a find this show is - witty, action-packed and dramatic, a rare combination. The DVD extras are few, but a wonderful interview with cast and crew, who were truly heartbroken when it was cancelled. It also adds another layer knowing the fans rallied to resurrect the show as a movie. Though this is a great collection for those who are just finding the show, I'm leaving off one star for myself, and the fact that I did not buy the newest, expanded DVD.

I was able to buy the complete fourth season on July 4 at the Fairlakes, Virginia Best Buy when it is not supposed to be released until later in July!

Jumper is a neat concept but a neat concept does not make a good movie. Hayden Christensen plays a man who can open personal portals to anywhere in the world he can think to go. He misuses his gift and it gets him in trouble with a Samual L. Jackson's character and a secret agency that wants to destroy all jumpers. Keep in mind I can't remember any of the characters names and that pretty much somes up the problem with this movie. The character development is lackluster and nothing about Jumpers are ever explained. All of that i guess is saved for the sequel that will never be released unless its straight to dvd. Thats the problem with setting up for a sequel in an unknown franchise that it may not become a franchise. I don't think Jumper will unless it goes the straight to dvd or tv route. Overall Jumper ... Having watched this movie numerous times in the theater and on DVD, I am proud to own the BluRay copy now. I must say they did a BRILLANT job on the transfer. The color is vivid and the sound is truly top notch. Some transfers of older movies aren't that good, but they took their time with this one. The special effects are great but on some scenes you can tell that it is CGI. Minus that the transfer is great.

I'm a great SG-1 fan and have everything from the Role-playing game to all ten seasons. Unfortunately I was very disappointed in the Ark of Truth. There was nothing new. Nothing even creative. The worst part for me was bringing back the Replicators. These creatures were already beat to death and here they served only as a means to give SG-1 something to blow up. The main characters had virtually nothing to do in the movie. Sam spent her time blowing stuff up. Tilk, nothing but looking tough. Daniel, Vala...bit parts while special affects and the ancients saved the day. As a collector of SG-1 stuff I had to purchase it. As a movie...well, it's a pretty lame attempt to recreate the glory times of the series.

What a great series - the acting is great, the writing is top-notch and the effects are wonderful, too. Season 3 is shaping up to be the best so far (I haven't started watching season 4 yet). Great character development - even Adm. Adama has his flaws exposed this season.

First let me state that I liked every other season of Smallville but this one. The reviews people have written remind me of people who know Star Wars Episodes I-III suck and refuse to say it because they're still attached to the good 'ol days of star wars. Well, the good 'ol days of smallville ended with season 6. Sure we knew that lana really didn't get killed off at the end of season six, but saying she used a clone in place of herself in order to fake her death is just lame. Lex giving up on lana? ha! He's a supervillain! They're insane! They don't give up! The rest is downhill, the season finale sucks. The writers don't leave you wanting more and from what i hear in Season 8 Michael Rosenbaum isn't going to be a regular. How can you continue this series without lex luthor.
