Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music was far from the straightforward Discovery Channel-type documentary that I imagined. There was none of the typical narrative, offsite interviews of resource persons, or anything post-event. This film was made at the very heart of the festival, making the 3 or so hours of footage feel indeed like 3 days, as it spanned across all sub-plots of the event. There were closeup shots of the musical performances down to the foot-tapping, the literally dirty fingers tuning the guitars, and hands wildly beating on the bongo drums. There were casual interviews with the young organizers at work, the bewildered (some annoyed) locals, the toilet cleaner who took great pride in making the portalets "pleasanter" for the kids, and all kinds of hippies, some ... This is one of the finest concert of all time. I'm a huge John Denver fan since I was a kid. I love playing my guitar with John's greatest hits. I was thrilled with this concert including its recorded footages that really promotes wildlife conservation and environment protection. A must for all JD fans. Thanks to Amazon and more power!

I've been watching this DVD on and off for the last ten years. It still brings tears to my eyes, still makes me laugh, and still makes my heart well up. Fleetwood Mac is a phenomenon, and they prove it with this DVD. The performances are all amazing, and they are truly all at the top of their games. I was born 30 years too late... if only to see them, Zeppelin, The Who... I guess I'll have to be satisfied with this amazing DVD. Wonderfully put together and wonderfully performed!

when i was senior high school,my school band always played Metallica songs. I truly admire Metallica, especially Kirk Hammet in his maestro killing thrash metal melody guitar. No one can compare with Kirk Hammet. I buy this DVD to remind me about old Metallica, Metallica who used to be a God of Metal, despite they seems downgrade now but i never forget how Metallica made all days so fun when in high school also in unversity. This video show you how great their team to make an album. They are so solid and they truly professional in commercial band, and their songs,their clips so great. This product will bring you to the years when Metallica run faster to be a champion as a metal group.

this DVD concert captures all his best works at the time this was recorded (some 20 years ago) but if your a fan like me, his voice and his songs are timeless.....a thumbs-up review

I am an old white guy who graduated from high school in 1972 and who was utterly enthralled with what is called "progressive rock" for a decade of my young life. At the top of a heap that included bands like Gentle Giant, Caravan, and Emerson Lake & Palmer stood Yes. It's hard to describe what they meant to me. The first record for me was the "Yes Album," and it literally changed my perspective on music. I saw the band for the first of my 23 shows over a period of more than 25 years at a Catholic high school outside of Cleveland on a Sunday afternoon. It was between the release of the "Yes Album" and "Fragile" - they were debuting songs from that record at the show. I saw the tour captured on this DVD three times. This is one of the DVD's which I used to listed very often. May be in a relaxed evening, busy times, while driving, and the music refreshes you all the time. Title after title, more and more you listen further you get loved and impressed by the manner the music is presented. Lovely piece of work !!! Recommended for musical lovers to buy.
