I'm a die-hard Sidney Poitier fan. This is a must own. I was disappointed that the 40th anniversary edition did not feature Sidney but featured the Director Stanley Kramer. I did not mind knowing a little bit about the him--I just could have live without so much info on him to the point where I got bored. They could have done something on the actors and actresses and even greater...on Sidney. I just could live without the second disc so dont call it a bonus feature. The acting was great and the movie was before it time-- A must own.

I love the whole movie, but one scene in particular, when Poitier as Homer Smith, starving because the poor Sisters have been unable to provide him with decent meals during his week of working for them, goes into the local cafe and orders a huge Sunday breakfast.

Both movies are still relevant, and truly funny! These two make wonderful comedy together! Worth every penny....

This DVD is a very interesting take on Don Rickles. It is not just a taped version of his comedy act. The comments from other entertainers and the history of Las Vegas combined with clips from Rickles' performances make this more of a biography of his life. I enjoyed it.

This classic urban comedy features an all-star cast! Bill Cosby, Sidney Poitier, John Amos... Although it was made before my fiance and I were even born(1975), we were both in tears laughing throughout the whole movie. We were so happy to find it available to buy on Amazon! "Let's Do It Again" is the BEST and FUNNIEST of the three buddy comedies featuring Cosby and Poitier from the 1970's. "A Piece of the Action" and "Uptown Saturday Night" are funny as well, but "Let's Do It Again" is hilarious and has a great soundtrack!

The Bottom Line: Though the film's atmosphere and performances succeed to a greater degree than the mystery story at its core, In The Heat of the Night is still an engaging and interesting film with fascinating character interaction and a true feel for the South.

The Jackal, very well made movie full of suspense and drama. I have watched this movie many times over and never get tired of watching it. I had this movie on VHS format, I have a DVD recorder, but decided I wanted a good quality version so I bought this through Amazon. To my delight the DVD that I purchased had deleted scenes, an alternate ending and interviews by some of the big name cast, the director talking about making the movie and a lot more. One of my favorite scenes was seeing Jack Black blown away by Bruce Willis, "Thanks Bruce" that guy is just plain annoying. The Cast includes Bruce Willis, Richard Gere, Diane Venora and the Great Sidney Poiter. Buy it, watch it, you will enjoy it. Just one persons opinion.
