The Bourne films the best action series ever and Damon delivers an intelligent man's hero. Bourne is the big screen version of Jack Bauer. By the way, I wonder who would win that battle- Bourne or Bauer?
The best part of the latest installment is the fight scene. One again the film makers incorporate Kali-Philippine Martial Arts - which makes for the most exciting scenes ever photographed. And in the film, Jason Boune comes home - to NYC!!

I am not a fan of Patrick Dempsey in the least. Therefore, he bothered me in this movie. That is the solitary flaw.

Now that I have that said, this is one of the best movies for all of us saps who love something inspirational. Being a teacher, albeit of grade school, this tribute to the book and its authors especially touched me.

The acting is beside the point. Good performances, there you go. It's the story that makes this movie, a story that takes in gang-related kids to tell what is truly going on in their lives and how they feel.

MTV did a great job putting it altogether. The film is poetic, moving, and even cool.

I'm looking on here and seeing all these good reviews for this terrible movie. You people are easily amused. Just because a horror movie isn't your typical torture slasher flick does not mean that it is all brooding, deep and creepy. This plot had so many flaws. And here's a run-down of the entire film..."Oh no who's outside honey?"..."No one. Weird"..."Oh my God what's that noise?"..."I'll look. It's nothing".."There's that noise again, I'm scared"...."Me too. What do we do?"..."There's all this noise but no one around. What's going on?"..."Who are those people?'..."I don't know"...."What's that noise?"...."I don't know. Wait, who are you?..."...BOOM they're dead. By some random people. And oh no, they're in the woods with masks, how original. If you think this is an intellectual, scary, deep horror ... Read More

I was torn about this movie for one fact - I really like Denzel Washington as an actor and if I see his name associated with a movie I will see it because I expect good things from him. And with the hype about this movie when it came out, I walked away from the theater a bit unsatisfied.

When he received an Oscar for this role (as oppossed to some other movies) I felt the same way the I did when Russell Crowe received one for Gladiator and not A Beautiful Mind. But that seems to happen at the Oscars.

Both Hawke and Washington turn in overall good performances (I think Hawke was better based on his role) about corruption in a police department, where Denzel is knee deep in it.

There were some very good scenes, but I did find that the movie dragged a bit. And when ... Read More

Demolition Man starring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes is pretty far out in terms of storyline and science fiction. Thank goodness for Sandra Bullock! Without her spunk and likability, this film would be just another stinker. The gadgets and costumes keep this movie worth watching but otherwise than that, it's ultimately a film not to be taken to seriously. Good luck!

This is as good as it gets. It shows the progression of a great band. One of the best concert recordings I have ever seen. It has all the energy, all the magic of a live performance. They have taken all their tunes and and performed at new level, the arrangements are amazing. This is a must have for any Eagles fan.
I just wish they had a CD version I could listen to in the car.....

I purchased the Criterion Edition for one reason only, that being the commentary provided by the director, writers and actors in the movie, which for some strange unfathomable reason, is not on any other edition.

It was worth the wait to purchase and view this DVD, it being denied the full 5-star rating because it does NOT include a sub-title track so that one can listen to the commentary and follow the dialogue on-screen. This is a personal foible of mine, but may not be relevant to other purchasers.

Otherwise a superlative product, which I recommend highly to anybody.
