One of my favorite miniseries of all time; so glad I found it. Brilliantly cast and performed. If you have never seen it, do it; you won't be sorry. A great view of history.

True to form, a campy movie X2!!! Fun for the family, except maybe the line from Sam "delivering meat" when asked why he was there with Alice at night.. Just fun!!!

I actually bought this movie from a popular retail store about a year ago, and that version was missing some key points as well. So when I saw the DVD here on Amazon, I was almost tempted to purchase it again in hopes that it would have been the complete version. However, after reading the comments, I see differently. Aside from the cuts and edits, I love this movie, its characters, and actors.

When this movie first came out in the mid 90's at the height of the 70's revival and in the midst of an epidemic of TV show inspired quickie movies, I wasn't that interested. I was over it all frankly. I remembered watching it on cable (not bothering to see it in the theater) and while even then I was blown away by the future Mrs. Ben Stiller's dead perfect Marcia Brady, I was put off by the tone of the movie. How did this 70's family just appear in modern times? Why were they stuck in the 70's? It didn't make any sense. I adored the first `Brady Bunch' movie. I was such a huge fan of the show (reruns) as a child and to watch the sitcom get ripped apart in such a respectful way (you can tell that they wanted to honor the films ridiculousness as apposed to trash it) gave me such a warm and fuzzy feeling all over. What is nice about this `Brady Bunch' sequel is that it builds off the same scenario, trapping the Brady's in a time warp where there brand of style and general life keeps them segregated from the rest of society, and in doing this they have set themselves up for ample laughs. What is sad at the same time though is that a lot of the laughs seem repetitive, as if we've seen this once before. This film provides a rare opportunity for you to get a peek into the life of suthor, James Baldwin. If you are not an ardent reader, you will know little of this wonderful writer. I only wish that there will be a biography on film of this man. Until that comes along, this is the only film that I have seen that gives you an inside of his life.
