The English language soundtrack for this movie is dull and uninspired. Even though I don't understand much Japanese, the movie is much more fun in the original with subtitles, because of the energy of the voices. It begins with the title: in Japanese it's "Tonari no Totoro," which is alliterative and poetic, where the English "My Neighbor Totoro" is literally faithful but utterly boring.

This seems to have been released in the US mainly for anime lovers and fans of the original. If the US distributor (Disney it appears) were to commission a "remake" of the dub, with a better translation, music, and voice talent, they could have a real "Finding Nemo" like hit on their hands.

I'll keep this really short. Always hated the show until recently. Started watching it, realized how shallow and derivative it is and still enjoy it. But the asking price is absolutely absurd. Watch it for free online.

Season 1 was so enjoyable and I watched it several times. Since I like the first season, I bought the second season and enjoyed watching it too. Inuyasha has become my favorite Japanese anime series now.

This box set contains the twenty-seven episodes that make up the third season of the Inuyasha anime series. There are also three special features: an "Inuyasha Super Special" that recaps what happened during the second season of Inuyasha (I assume this aired in Japan right before the third season started), the "textless opening," and the "textless closing."

Unlike the first two season box sets, there were absolutely no trailers included on this box set. This wasa very welcome change from having the trailers included at the beginning of each disc for the second season dvd box set.

When it comes to the episodes, season three relied more on stories that spanned multiple episodes, even though there were only a couple of episodes that were labeled as being multi-part episodes. ... Read More

The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass is the second theatrical film for the Inuyasha franchise. The film takes place between episodes ninety-five and ninety-six of the anime series.

The film opens with Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo defeating Naraku. At first, there is doubt that Naraku has actually been defeated, but enough evidence comes to light to make the group believe that Naraku really is gone. Kagura and Kanna, the two remaining incarnations of Naraku, free Kaguya from a mirror, and Kaguya begins to wreak havoc on feudal Japan. There are many surprises in store for our heroes during the course of the film.

There are six special features on the DVD. First, there are Japanese trailers for The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass; however, the audio is only in ... Read More

After many recommendations from friends, and reading universal praise, I went into the "classic" 6 episode series with high hopes - hopes that developed leprosy and collapsed under the weight of their dead, jaundiced flesh by the end.

Gunbuster is wrought with 2D characterization, uninspired designs, awkward fan-service, and a hilariously incomprehensible plot - and not incomprehensible in an entertaining, mysterious sense - but in a pissed out sort of way that's explained in an embarrassing, 30 second, expository excretion. Anyone who says this show has depth must be weighed down by nostalgia for it, because I simply can't understand any other reason for it being praised. It boggles my mind. And if anyone recommends it with a disclaimer about it being made in the 80s, don't trust them - ... Read More

Both of Ranma 1/2 movies are great. They both deal with someone abducting Akane. If I had to choose I would say the 2nd movie was better. Mainly because of the fights at the end. All of the main characters get to battle one of the bad guys.

The first movie deals with Akane being kidnapped by the cult of pickle worshipers...I am serious. Ranma has to battle all each of the 7 lucky god's martial artists. The movie is slow at the beginning, but picks up past towards the middle.

The second movie is about Akane being kidnapped by a young prince. The main cast has been stranded on a deserted island. The twist in this movie is he kidnaps every women he sees and pits them in a contest for his hand in marriage. This movie has some great fan service. The girls have on some of the ... Read More

The Woman Who Love Sesshomaru from Part 8 Episode 133 & 134,

This is one of the touchiest parts about Sesshomaru.

Sarah father's a leader of the Clan, the Asano castle is merely taken over by the opponent and their last hope is to set the castle on fire to buy time for the vassals can find escape...but Sesshomaru showed up and killed the Asano enemies on his way.
