I enjoyed watching this myself, but my dad absolutely loved it. He was an engineer at NASA in the 60's and this brought back so many memories for him. He said that it was very accurate and that it gives so much "behind the scenes" information. He wanted our whole family to watch it because it helped us understand the work that he did while at NASA. If you have an older family member who worked for NASA or followed the space program closely, this will make a great gift!

I've listened to Neil Young since what seems like forever. Mostly I didn't pay a lot of attention. When I saw this gem on the rack I decided to take a chance. All I can say is "Wow". The direction is fabulous. The music is amazing. The mood is just inspiring. This performance gave me a renewed respect for one of our generations masters.

A lot has been said and do not wish to repeat it. In my mind this is by far the most complete and timeless of the Monty Python classics ... I personally love The Meaning of Life but it resonates mostly with those coming of age in the 70s and early 80s as many of the topics were current then (sex education, antiwar sentiment etc). Life of Brian will never lose its appeal but it requires a copy with English subtitles even for native English speakers to catch all the brilliance. It is moreover an essential piece of work in bringing about religious understanding and tolerance. Whether you are a believer or not it is healthy in a free society to challenge the very institutions they are built on and remind us all not to take anything too seriously. I've seen that movie on TV. I really liked it. It's so beautiful... History on men and a special friendship and respect. That's not a war movie. That's about a military/political decision taken in an office. They decided to bring tanks to replace horses. Instead of sendind faithful horses to their retirement in country, they dedecided to kill them. Some NCO decide to save them : they try to reach Canada. Are they going to succeed ?
