I viewed all of them one Saturday and watched for almost 5 hours and wasn't the least bit bored . In fact I went to bed with the most uplifting spirit Iv'e had in a long time.

The question in my mind is was there ever a Will Stoneman. Google comes up with nothing. I did find something that said Albert Campbell claimed to be Iron Will. He said the story was based on the fact that his father died and in just two weeks he fulfilled his dying fathers wish and won the race.
I have always associated Will Stoneman with an old man I once saw on TV. He talked about winning a dog sled race and later going to the (North/South Pole?) on an expedition back in those days. He was hired because he was an expert with dog teams. Albert Campbell says he won the race in 1917. The Canadian politician Albert Campbell was born in 1910 I believe, in Canada. And grew up on the family farm.

So, who knows what the real story is? If someone does I would certainly ... Read More

I bought this because I loved this movie when I was a kid, its still pretty funny, but doesn't hit the spot like it used to, lol. Overall, I'd say if you've seen it before just leave it at that, once is enough for this movie.

Among the unintentional laughs was the dramatic walk to the OK Corral by the Earps and Doc Holliday. This should have been released as a comedy.
Another flawed, but still excellent, version of the Earps was "Tombstone."

but nothing to boast about. Typical teen movie. Not recommended for the whole family. It is about one teens struggle with love. She doesn't recommend it. In fact, she suggests that people just get a divorce before they get married to save them that last step.

As long as you pretend you are watching National Geographic or the Discovery Channel this stuff is awesome. The acting is incredibly terrible, yet adds to the quirky charm of this offbeat movie about human sexual behavior. The "alien" narrator, who is never seen, (a la "National Geographic" narrator) saves the film from being mediocre trash by giving deadpan explanations for the behavior of the "mated pair." Of course the explanations are usually wrong and funny. The humor in this movie is aimed mostly at the male ego, although I'm sure there are some women who will find this movie funny as well. If you like Kevin Smith movies you will find this funny as well. (at least the first time you watch it.) P.S. Watch this with friends, don't endure this alone.

By the time Jack Nicholson shows up for about five minutes of screen time as Garrett Breedlove, this turgid 1996 sequel to 1983's Terms of Endearment has already slogged through two deaths, a psychotherapist with an Oedipal complex, and a lot of scrapbooks. The problems with this shamelessly manipulative movie are many, and they all begin with the inevitable premise that tough Texas matron Aurora Greenway can carry on without being challenged by her feisty daughter Emma. However, without Debra Winger's earthy grit counterbalancing Shirley MacLaine's flamboyant disapproval, the story seems to work in a vacuum. Much of the appeal and resonance of the first film came from how these characters dealt with life's unpredictable course and how James L. Brooks captured their idiosyncrasies with a refreshing level ... Read More

In Love and War is a sweet romantic drama but there are some flaws in this epic love story. Sandra Bullock and Chris O'Donnell have wonderful and natural chemistry but the story seems inaccurate and forced. O'Donnell plays doomed writer Ernest Hemingway and I just felt like the part was too big for him, he tried to make it his own and he failed. Bullock saves this film, she is an unappreciated actress, good film just weak aim.

I had this movie a long time ago, and I played it until the tape snapped one day. Jurnee Smollett as the lead character, Sheyann Webb, is an amazing actress whose maturity beyond her years is noteworthy. She has incredible range, better than even some of the adult actors and actresses we see today. You really believe that she wants justice and equality when she marches with Dr. King and those in her community. I must warn any who haven't seen it, however, it is heart-wrenching as you see the faces of inequality and oppression and violence who make every attempt to thwart justice and have everything remain the way it is. Ultimately, it is a story of triumph, hope, belief, and faith.

This movie is really great if you take it for what it is - a fun romantic comedy. It's actually kind of edgy for a 90's era Jennifer Aniston flick. Ione Skye is gorgeous as ALWAYS and everyone in the cast is terrific. When this was originally released a lot of my film-snob friends snubbed it but it's been one of my absolute favorites for years. I hope others will discover it too!
