A co-worker told me about this movie and since I didn't find it at the local video rental store I purchased it for 9.99 on amazon. If you are a dog lover you will really enjoy this movie. It is so adorable! that poor Great Dane! What a riot to watch the mischief those Dachshunds caused.

it is a wonderful cast and story. they do a wonderful adaption of S.E. Hinton's Novel. although- they miss a few chapters in the story.

The sequel to "True Grits" was enjoyable to watch. Though not as good as its predecessor. This movie could have given more history concerning the charactors other than the beloved Deputy Marshall. Katherine Hepburn was supurb of course, especially with that well developed voice of hers.

I never actually got the product. I got an email from the business saying they had shipped the wrong item and they credited my Discover card. I never received anything.

I bought this movie because I remembered watching it as a little girl. (I think we had a different version because there was not so much cussing.) This is a good movie minus the cussing. It's really an oldie but a goodie!

This review will discuss the merits of the now rare and out of print Criterion Collection version of the film. One of the questions a viewer needs to ask him or herself is whether or not the added expense of a rare edition can be justified. The Criterion dics presents the film in a letter boxed widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 which appears to be the correct shooting format used by cinematographer Tak Fujimoto. The sound is standard 2.0 Dolby Surround. This is a fairly new film and the Criterion transfer appears to be reference quality. I have heard that there is an inexpensive collector's edition by MGM that presents the transfer as a widescreen anamorphic with a 5.1 surround mix. This is a great DVD with the extra scenes in it bringing the book more fully to life Don't get me wrong I adored the original but this is better. I think the music is fine and not at all distracting. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent movie. The actors/actresses in it are perfect. The movie stays with you long after it's finished.

This is a corn-ball comedy that I thought I'd hate and ended up laughing until the tears were coming from my eyes. The setup is well done, the story very funny, and then it ends with--well you find out. If you like to laugh this movie is for you.
