Sometimes a man has to stand up in the face of almost certain death, because to do otherwise is more unbearable. That's one of the lessons in this outstanding Western. Duvall and Costner are 2 of my favorites and they don't disappoint. It's good to see Costner play a man that's not embarrassed about being right and doesn't take the whole movie to convince he ought to defend the weak.

I absolutely love this movie and the special features. It is action packed so there is never a lull, and it pulls on your heart-strings. It is a true story and for once, a movie actually got close to the truth. For some who were actually in Somalia serving our country, this movie may be a little hard to watch, my ex boyfriend could never watch this film because it was too realistic and brought back too many memories. But because it is realistic it is a great movie. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes true stories, drama, and war movies.

I beg to differ with Amazon.com's review. While far from a perfect film, the imaginative visuals and the atmosphere of Silent Hill make it a thoroughly terrifying viewing experience. Though the plot is abstract the premise is simple enough, and some indiscretions in narrative are forgivable since this is a film dealing with the supernatural. My only complaint with the story was the utterly superfluous subplot involving Rose's husband, which did nothing for the film but break up the momentum and suspense of the main storyline. I would venture that most horror buffs aren't looking for literary excellence but rather a good scare and an original idea in a genre that's become quite saturated with mediocre films. This movie did okay from game to movie but still lacks the overwhelming creepy feeling you get from the game. I think part of that comes from not being able to interact with the movie whereas the game is controlled by the player. Good imagery, decent acting, creepy score but lacks that certain something. The ending of the movie was a bit disappointing to me.

You cant talk about underrated action flick without mentioning The Last Boy Scout. I mean this movie came and went and stayed off the radar for a while. Let me give you a brief description of what its about. Bruce Willis plays Joe Hallenback, a down on his luck private investigator who comes home and finds his best friend sleeping with his wife. He later teams up with an ex-football player named Jimmy Dix(Damon Wayans) whose girlfriend Cory(Halle Berry) just got murdered.
