This is a typical chick flick and completely predictable..having said that I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jane(katerhine Hiegle) is always a bridesmaid, and LOVES it, or so she says. She is secretely in love with her boss George played by Edward Burns. Everything changes when her always prettier sister Tesscomes to stay with her and her and George get along great... Jane reexamines her always a bridemaids way of thinking. She is helped along by James Marsden who plays Kevin who is a writer. Between Kevins synical way of thinking and Janes Idealistic way of looking at love, you know they are constantly disagreeing. Although it is predictible, it is fun and lighthearted and has some great laugh out loud moments....

Unfortunately, I found this movie predictable and trite. My 14-year-old walked out in the middle because it was boring, we knew what the ending would be and the acting and script were not compelling. The movie was also anachronistic (ie historically inaccurate). If you know anything about the pioneer period of American history you will find this low-budget film grating. The producers/directors did not bother to get anything correct- costumes, cabin props, barn construction, language and role of women/children in the period. Again, it was so blatant that my 14-year-old also found the historical inaccuracies so intolerable that we spent more time noting these than watching the story line. The second of the "Love Comes Softly" videos. These stories should be seen by every child in America. Michael Landon Jr has continued where his father has left off and I know he is in heaven looking down on his son with such great pride and love. If you can't afford to buy them all (six so far) then I urge you to watch them on The Hallmark Channel and pick your favorite and add it to your video collection. I bought these for my grandchildren which I hope to have someday so they won't miss out on these special stories. I just hope they continue the videos.

So as you can tell, I'm very fond of this movie. Even now, at 19, its still one of my favorites. I'm not even sure what made me watch this movie in the first place (I love Katherine Heigl, but back in the day she wasn't a household name yet so that had no signifigance whatsoever) I just remember seeing it at the movie store one day, and I randomly decided to watch it. The second season of Grey's is my favorite, by far! If you haven't caught this show, you really need to get the seasons and start watching! Season two was just perfectly filled with medical and love-life drama. Emmy winning/worthy storylines and performances from the cast. I haven't watched a show in a long time that has managed to pull me in like this and tie my emotions. I have actually cried watching Grey's- and that doesn't happen often. I saw this movie again a couple of days ago. Laughed my butt off. Stupid funny, but also kind of charming and realistic in some ways. For all those negative reviewer, relax, don't expect an oscar winning movie about the meaning of life and creation...you'll find you self laughing and actually relating to the characters.
