This is a brief correction to Vlad48's review, "Wiped Clean by A&E" -- Just to set the record straight, A&E (the releasing agent for this set) is not responsible for bowdlerizing the contents. The programs here are taken from the US distribution versions, not the original BBC masters. These are the versions shown on PBS back in the 1970s, and in America ever since. I wish A&E had used the original masters, or that the BBC would release its own set, especially with extended commentary etc., as other reviewers wish for. Censorship of any kind sucks, especially with material this classic. I rate it 4, not 5, stars for this reason. This was robbed of the Best Animated Feature by the overated "The Incredibles", and this is hilarious. You'll laugh from beginnning to end, I assure you.

Like all the Monty Python alumni, John Cleese is talented and funny. From Monty Python (of course) to A Fish Called Wanda, Cleese always just makes me laugh. And it is not different in Fawlty Towers, where he is at his acerbic and crazy best as the owner of a hotel where circumstances always leads to laughs, and Cleese is surrounded with other actos who do a great job. Echos of Monty Pythin are here, plus other elements thrown in, so if you are a Python or Cleese Fan you will find the series hilarious. British style humor that works well for all and the extras do add to the set which makes it a wothwhile DVD set to have in your collection since the episodes, like all good comedy, can be watched more than once and still be worth it.

Excellent family movie! I bought Charlotte's Web new. It arrived within a few days of purchase and was in excellent shape. This is one of my favorite movies!

Enough is enough A&E,here we go again with another Monty Python Megaset,add a some personal best DVD's + the 16 ton set DVD's and few more small extras and there you go,another Monty Megaset(w/high price tag!),this IS the 3rd to date!!! For the $,the 16 ton megaset IS the way to go,and much chaeper to boot!!! Love Monty Python,sick of A&E,such a nice thing to do to us in these economic times!

this is an awesome movie. i just gave it as a birthday gift to a nostalgic friend and he loved it. every bit as funny and entertaining today as when it came out. :)
