Elvis Presley is still alive, although not really kickin'. Lingering on in a nursing home with JFK and a host of elderly patients, the King has little to do but stay in bed, complain about the food, and worry about a growth on his winkle. (Yes I said winkle. We're supposed to keep it clean with these reviews--right?) Then one day things start getting a little strange when a resurrected Egyptian mummy in cowboy boots shows up and starts sucking the souls out of the home's helpless inhabitants, and it's up to Elvis to save the day.
As you may expect this movie is extremely campy, but in the good way. It's a bit creepy, as any good movie involving mummies or zombies should be. But what was surprising to me was just how sweet it ended up being. While Campbell's portrayal of Elvis is ... Read More

"Zombies on a Plane"--"Dead Flight"--"Drop Dead Flight"--the possibilities for alternate titles for Scott Thomas' "Flight of the Living Dead: Outbreak on a Plane" is endless. The film is insanely goofy and while it couldn't exactly reach the B-movie charms of "Snakes on a Plane", it is still a fun watch for those lazy night evenings when there is nothing good on TV.

In a transatlantic flight, a secret agency is transporting the corpse of a woman who is the carrier of a man-made virus. The weather isn't very good to make such a flight, there is a thunderstorm, turbulence is aplenty which eventually results on zombies literally running rampant in a plane at 130,000 feet. Cue, sexy flight attendants, a comedic convict, two tough guys and even a nun to save the day....but how do you ... Read More

**SPOILERS**

Phantasm IV just might be my favorite film of all time, and I'd like to explain why I adore it so much and feel that, in every sense, it IS a fitting end to the series, and that it leaves NO questions unanswered.

This series has always been a riddle, always an enigma, and the answers are as difficult to see when they're right in front of you as perhaps the destination of one of the Tall Man's dimensional forks.

I'm sure everyone has a theory of what was meant or implied by a lot of the events of Phantasm IV, and here's my personal take that I strongly believe in, so much so that when I watch part IV, it brings tears to my eyes, every time, without fail.

A lot of people get confused by the "contradictory" flashback scenes that depict different ... Read More

I recently have become very interested in this case and I've read about four books on it and have watched film and read transcripts etc. I had seen this movie when it first came out on television but watching it now and knowing all the facts, this movie is just used to make Scott look worse than he actually was. The Amber Frey calls were ridiculously off, along with the basic facts. Dean Cain, like everyone has previously said, did an amazing job and it's amazing how much he looks like scott. After reading almost everything there is to read about Scott, I'm bothered by this film because it is very one sided. The questions "Tommy" asked were legitimate and it seemed like that was the only time they let you doubt that Scott was guilty but in the end "Tommy" looked stupid.

I certainly just wish the movie was ... Read More

This movie purports to be a thriller, but it is really schizophrenic. It has multiple personalities. At the beginning it can't seem to decide whether it's a spoof, or a T&A movie, or a thriller. During the latter three-quarters of the movie it tries hard to be a thriller, but by that time it's too late to redeem itself.

Here's what you need to know about this movie if you are thinking of spending money on it: 1) It's a "B" movie, so there is no big budget, polished script, etc; and 2) Despite a few gratuitous bare-chest scenes, this is NOT a T&A movie either.

This movie does have a couple of things going for it, however. It does have a coherent plot and a surprise ending. The quality of the acting was also pretty darn good for a "B" movie. If the writers and director had stuck with the thriller concept from the beginning ... Read More
