Time-traveling, teleporting. I've been always kind of a sucker for these sci-fi premises. What would you do if you could teleport yourself to basically any place on the face of the earth? Steven Gould, in his novel Jumper, uses this premise and gives his characters the innate ability to instantly teleport themselves. It is definitely an interesting foundation, however, Director Doug Liman and screenwriters David S. Goyer, Jim Uhls and Simon Kinberg do little to exploit this promising idea, and come up with a movie that takes us through NYC, Rome, Egypt, Tokyo, but ends up going absolutely nowhere.

Hayden Christensen is David Rice, a normal teenager until he finds he's got the ability to teleport himself from place to place when he first "jumps" spontaneously in order to escape ... Read More

So the time has come that I review "Revenge of the Sith." As those who have read my reviews for Episodes I and II will know, I do not have much sympathy for the people who continue to claim that these three films have wrecked their lives forever. What life is this that you ever had, Universal 1-Star reviewer, if a few movies you didn't like devestated you THAT much? "George Lucas raped my childhood". Get real... or at least get therapy.

Alright, so George Lucas is a much more creative--and, in all likelyhood, much more intelligent--person than these one-star reviwers who somehow seem to think that they could do what he's done better than he's done, but even HE was facing a tall order in delivering "Star Wars-- Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" to viewers successfuly. Not only ... Read More

"Star Wars:Episode II-Attack of the Clones" was presented at the Cinemark Theatre at the Hampshire Mall in Hadley,Massachusetts.I purchised my ticket a couple of weeks in advance and despite some of the negative reviews that I read,I was still eager to see this film. After leaving the theater,I realized that although it wasn't as good as the first three "Star Wars" films, but was just as good as "Star Wars:Episode I-The Phantom Menace",I was being entertained.I like watching movies that entertain me and this film did a good job at that.I like to point out that we are living in an age where computer technology seem to be an open doorway to the art of special effects."Star Wars:Episode II-Attack of the Clones" is a great example of that. Some people question the idea of Yoda being recognized through CGI.After ... Just not a very good effort from Lucas. I'm not sure why anyone would watch one of these three films over one of the old three films.

What I loved about the Virgins is the simplicity of complexity that revolves itself around the absurd. Then again what is absurd, and what is unimaginable? In a world with six billion plus, anything and everything is possible. The film lingered with me for hours after seeing it, I didn't want it too end almost, I wanted to know the girls more, and yet I couldn't, they were lifeless, and that is the pure remarkability of Coppola to bring us into a world so perverse that we only want to be on the outside window shopping, and see that even in the most glorious of beauty, lies the complex intricies of abnormaility. It's a sick film, a funny film, it reminds me sort of in a way to Almost Famous. I can't really say why, but it seems to share some sort of tangible relevance to actually care whats going on in each moment of the film. ... Read More

In order to enjoy any movie, one must employ a suspension of disbelief. But this movie expects the viewer to be an idiot. The story is well-intentioned but doesn't play by any of the rules of reality.

Hayden Christensen, in his first starring role, continues to suck at his chosen profession. He is basically the kiss of death to whatever production he's a part of. He was out-acted by C-3PO and R2D2 in the "Star Wars" movies. I really don't understand how he continues to get roles. Keanu Reeves looks like Heath Ledger next to this guy.

Terrence Howard, one of the best actors on the planet (check him out in "Hustle and Flow", "Crash" or "Iron Man") does the best he can with his role, and Jessica Alba gives her best performance to date. But neither can save the movie from its terminally flawed story. I won't ... Read More

This production is an underrated gem. Guy Pearce is "over-the-top" as Andy Warhol, while Sienna Miller IS Edie Sedgwick, the "Factory Girl." See this movie first, then buy "Ciao! Manhattan" to complete your collection.
