I am a true superman lover as far as the storyline goes. I had to get something that would encompass the entire story of superman. I had to get all the dvds. I love this. My girlfriend and our daughter have watched it and my daughter is growing to love superman as well. I am not like super dye-heart fan, but superman is better than the rest in the comic industry in my opinion and i love what i purchased. I loved the special features and the behind the scenes footage. It was just AWESOME!

This is the only movie about the epic battle of Midway which means that its the one that you'll have to watch to get any taste about this incredible pivotal turning point in the war in the Pacific. What can I say? You get some great performances from excellent actors like Henry Fonda. There's a melodramatic father and son plot between Heston and a young Edward Arnold over his Japanese girlfriend. Historical figures are played by up and coming or known actors. A documentary type feel for both the Japanese and American timelines which works to some extent. *A pastiche of footage from other sources which the filmakers used to 'fill in the gaps' in the plot with an acceptable but sometimes inauthentic feel. I prefer Selleck's newer westerns. Still the cast in this movie is a who's who for westerns. Ben Johnson stills the show. Glen Ford is as solid as ever. The "Sackett boys" make it look easy. This is now a classic movie from the master classic western writer.

great, enjoyable movie. beautiful soundtrack. just wish r. donner had done more with the man of steel just like g. reeves. foiling a bank robbery, bending steel bars, jumping out of a window, fight scenes with the bad guys. the scene when the bullets bounced off superman in the tunnel should have been left in the theatrical version. it's the 30th anniversary of the 1978 movie. i'm sure WB will re-release an expanded edition with all the deleted scenes that were never shown. i have VHS copies of the TV version off from ABC TV from 1980. lots of nice scenes to see. enjoy.****

Of course "AF1" has more plot holes than a Jerry Bruckheimer film, but watching this movie back in 1997 was one of the biggest cinema joys in recent years! "AF1" is a MUST for all Ford fans, as well as fans of action. Wolf Petersen is one of my favorite directors, he makes this movie 'take off' and really 'fly' with excitement. I also should say, Gary Oldman is probably the greatest working film actor today who has never been nominated for an Oscar, (as far as I know). I'm not saying "AF1" is 'Oscar material' but I'd rather watch this than something like "The Last Emperor". "AF1" may go down in my book as Harrison Ford's last great action role, so what if it's unbelievable? Almost a classic. It has it's flaws but is an otherwise very memorable film."

This is, by far, one of the best movies. The story is moving, and will have you in tears multiple times. Tom truelly shines, and is one of the few actors that you no longer see as a person, but as their character. Very emersed. This will also question your thoughts and beliefs, and possibly make you reconsider the next time youre about to make a snap judgement.

This is one of my favorite Christmas Movies. I searched all over till I fond it on Amazon.com. I even watch it just when I need to have to feel like Christmas in July kind of thing. They don't make good old glamorous hollywood movies like this any more. If you can think of any pass it my way. When I watch a movie to be entertained I want to feel good when it's over...sometimes I just don't want it to end.

Awesome flick from when I was a kid, as good as I remember. Pretty good special effects for that time era.
