Looking back in time modern science fiction had one of its main scientists, writers, philosophers and visionaires in one name: Carl Sagan, the author of the novel in which is based the movie. The making of the movie gives a very near and sub-realistic intent in the searching of "green littles", all right that maybe means "live in Mars", "Aliens" or just "ET's" but in a very intelligent secuence. Jodie Foster who interprets the scientist Eleanor Arroway and in along the movie is the principal character (since the beggining when she was a child), gives a very strong image to those scientists who believes in science and in themselves. This is a very environmental movie, with pollution as the monster and the objective was to save Fern Gully the rain forest. Overall, it was very enjoyable.

Not a very good movie. I do suggest buying it only to complete your collection. Then watch it once only to understand what is going on.

I can't get enough of watching these movies. I especially like the directors commentary.

A rare case of where we may have enjoyed this movie more than the original. At the very least, it's a remake worth watching compared to most Hollywood re-runs.

I caught this movie on late night TV last night and was pleasantly surprised at how hilarious it is! Lot of good actors and a very funny storyline. Some parts made me laugh out loud hysterically (especially the part where C Thomas Howell yells at the mailman). So glad I watched this, I will definitely add this to my collection.

One of the greatest westerns I have watched. Of course I think Kris Kristofferson rates one of the greatest. I don't like sad ending movies but I am so glad I didn't miss this one. Noble Adams (Kris) was one of the best trackers of his time. He showed no mercy to the killers he tracted and he knew if he wasn't hard they would surley kill him. But on his gentle loving side he send his son Tom Adams (Mark Moses) to get an education so people would look up to him and he could walk proud. Noble now felt no one would ever feel Tom was unfortunate. Mark did a great job of acting and sure gave the movie some suprises of what a college student could learn along with book learning. I recommend this DVD highly I will watch it again and again. Tom Adams
