It pisses me off when I think of this series. It could of been another great scifi series and Babylon 5 franchize if the powers that be would of let it continue instead of canceling it staight of.

I love Harvey Birdman, and I'm sure I would have loved the second season, but I ordered it twice and both times I ended up with two copies of the second disc. I suspect it was some kind of error that didn't get corrected. I wasn't willing to order a third time. I don't blame Amazon or whoever sent it. That's just what happened.

This was actually better than I'd expected. I'm not a NASCAR fan, but Will Farrell does on occasion make me laugh. And laugh I did. Ricky Bobby (Will Farrell) is a born race car driver who becomes a champion, until an accident leaves him psychologically unable to race again. John C. Reilly plays his sidekick, always coming in second, helping Ricky Bobby win. Will Farrell's over-the-top goofiness was toned town a bit--a small bit, which for me made the movie funnier, because I was laughing at the lines and situations rather than at Will Farrell. NASCAR is lavishly lampooned, but in such an extravagant and good-humored way that I doubt fans would be offended--the movie takes the stereotypes and runs with them. This movie was made in Savannah, Ga. If you saw Midnight In The Garden, you are already aware of the 'other' presence there of magic, obeah and other supernatural events. Ribisi is just incredible in this film. I really like this guy enormously. He gives 1000 percent in every performance. Ms. Blanchett shines as the gal with the gift. While the story is very over the top, all of the people depicted are right on. I did get a few phone calls from back home (Savannah) asking me if I had anything to do with this film inasmuch as I am known for having the gift, myself. Nope. Not a thing. But I did very much enjoy watching the film and understanding how difficult it is to be special in a small city. This movie is somewhat different in that the writer takes you back and forth between the real and the imaginary leaving you wondering sometimes as to which is which. It is a delightful story that shares the love between a mother and daughter. It is also fun because the story is told from the perspective of the horse instead of a person.
