I bought this movie on a whim and I loved it! the DVD ws in great condition no scratches on the DVD or skips while watching the movie! I love it!

I really enjoy Gene Kelly. These are among my favorite movies that he has been in. A joy to watch. His enthusiasm, his dancing, his singing. These movies raise your spirits. I highly recommend this collection.

I was happy when I got to see this lost holiday treat. It is equal to a glass of cold milk and a hot chocolate chip cookie. Bing and Bob made this holiday special in this 50's color television special that reeks of the 50's and classic songs. Depressed this holiday season hopefully this will bring you out of some of it if not all. If your local library doesn't carry it this is the place to get it.

when people write a bad review about an item, in this case a DVD, that they never should have purchased if they didn't like musicals, or bought it, watched it, and came back here to give it a bad review because they enjoyed a different version of the film that included actors they enjoyed more. I've never seen the Philadelphia Story, although I would like to do so one day. If I enjoy TPS more than "High Society," that doesn't automatically make HS worthless. I've always loved this movie and decided to purchase it today. When I saw two 1-star ratings, I had to see if there was some kind of flaw in the actual DVD (cut scenes, etc.). Musicals Classics 50 Movie Pack Collection Most of the musicals are B/W and are of vintage (1935-1945) There are probably 4 or 5 that are really worth the price of the whole package. Truthfully, I have not watched them all, but still look forward to seeing some "long gone" performers doing their best routines.I probably would have paid the full price just for Royal Wedding on DVD because I already own it on VHS.Many of these "musicals" are not memorable because they were done before my time and I'm 72. Wonderful! My little girls and I watched these movies on TV, and then we had to get them. They just love to watch them over and over. All three are good, clean, family movies--can't find these now days. So glad to have them now!!

I have enjoyed this set of classic mysteries. Most of the moves I had not seen in years since the Late, Late Night Movies, were on TV. These took me back to when I was teenager and would stay up late with my mother. She would tell me stories about the stars and other movies with then in that were the same type. This set brought back memories and also there were other movies that were sequiels that she had told me about but had never seen. The quality of the films have not been totaly restored, but improvements have been maded, making viewing enjoyable. Their are a few films that jump as if frames are missing but overall a great set for the price.

Has all the subtlety of an elephant's tread. A group of American soldiers are kidnapped by Russkies, brainwashed to assassinate a Presidential Candidate. The man chosen to do the job is the very wooden Harvey doing all sorts of facial-contortions that are supposed to be passed off as acting. The most debilitating part of the movie is the absurdity of watching that Italian Club-Singer trying, you guessed it, act. Of all the bad looking rats to have ever disgraced America Cinema, Sinatra must take the cake. Few females are thereabouts doing exactly nothing! Few blacks are so generously included in the movie's cast - not real blacks really but light-skinned mullato types. this movie is good especially the language,they spoke in their own language and with enlish subtitles so that we can understand what they are talking about,in german.i hope all war movie comes in oringinal dialect of cause it must have english subtitle.
