I must confess, I've been a Python fan since the early Seventies. When I was in High School, memorizing their sketches was a rite of passage. So when A&E released the 16-Ton Megaset, it was a gift from the gods. And I am so happy that the list price has come down to a level at which every Pythonist can afford to add this most essential DVD box to their library.

Every episode of the original BBC series is here on the first 14 discs. The show was shot on film and on videotape, so there is a certain amount of roughness to the editing, which was present from the beginning and adds to the charm of the series. Yes, there are slight omissions here and there, but so few as to be almost unnoticeable to all but the most rabid Python fan. 99.9% of the material is here. Also on each ... Read More

Casper starring Bull Pullman and Christina Ricci is a childhood delight. I enjoyed this feel-good comedy as a young teen and still do. Ricci's performance is so under-stated, she can definitely hold her own. Pullman on the other hand is not a good actor but he's pretty believable in this film. Devon Sawa is such a babe in Casper, too bad his beautiful face doesn't show up 'til the end of the film. I highly recommend this ghostly caper, enjoy!

So Cinderella comes around fractured with a prince
with a wicked uncle as well as a wicked step mother for ella.
An the enchantment of always doing what she is told
with this beautiful star brings up some startling
fantasies in the male audience?
I like fairy tales and Anne Hathaway,
but I think she deserved a better movie!
The studio special effects in the forest
are kind of poor, as is the dialog in many cases.
The jokes almost come off too.
A little better script with an actress like this and you might of had a classic.

Outstanding! 5 Stars. This is how it's done. Stay true to the spirit and vision of the TV series and put in what would otherwise be in the TV show if TV didn't have to cater to lame, uptight, humorless people all the time. But it is precisely because of society's weirdness, stupidy, and strange mores that makes South Park possible in the first place. It is only out of the sheer wackyness of America that South Park comes from and reason why it is so funny. And I shouldn't be too down on America. I mean it's not like were in China or some crazy Muslim country. I'm sorry but those people are crazy.

"Bigger, Longer, & Uncut" makes me picture a gigantic uncircumcised wang which is a little funny I guess, but mainly just an image I'd prefer not to have in the first place. Where they really ... Read More

It's Monty Python at their best. Very funny lengthy sketches and musical numbers that have you rolling on the floor. Absolutely hysterical. They show silly, yet intelligent humor that is sure to be appreciated by their audiences.

Get it and you will want to own all of the Monty Python's movies... but that's a good thing.

I was very excited to get my collectors edition of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and The Life of Brian. However, when I tried to actually remove the DVD from its case I found that it was wedged so tightly onto the case that it would not come off. After carefully trying to remove it it finally quite literally snapped off leaving a crack in the disc. I am returning it to Amazon for a replacement so hopefully this was just one instance of poor tolerances on this particular package. We'll have to wait and see how the next one comes. I don't see that anyone else had this problem, so I hope it was an isolated incident.

This movie is the ultimate level of the Monty Python genre, which also includes a host of other major comics, marty feldman and cheech and chong, to name a few. Their antics are beyond superlatives, the comedy is racey/saucy but genuinely funny. The sets are tremendous as is the acting, there should have been a sequel.
