This ia a great movie for kids of all ages! Its warm, heartfelt, a little sad at times, with a mix of humor. All around, you can't go wrong. I bought it for my baby sister along with the Cloud B Sea Turtle night lamp. Cute combo!

Both of these stand-ups are absolutely hilarious. You will be thinking of her jokes for many years after you've watched it. There have been numerous times that an everyday occurence has made me laugh and remember something she said in these routines. Buy this, you will most definitely enjoy watching it again and again or sharing with friends.

Ellen DeGeneres is undeniably one of the funniest comedians out there. And the Ellen show did develop into a really good show in its third and fourth seasons. But Season One has not aged well. It has all the classic weaknesses of an ensemble cast that has not really clicked yet. It looks and feels like the weakest of late 70s/early 80s sitcoms. Unless you are an obsessive collector who feels the need to have complete sets, you can skip this one.

It's difficult to create a good movie that mixes comedy and drama in a good way. EDtv manages to do it. The movie is perhaps more relevant today than it was when it was released. In 1999, the story was a satire of what might have been, but today with all the reality-tv-shows, it is... well... reality. The movie is fun but it also has something to say. Who wants to be famous. It seems like everyone does. But what sort of skeletons would they find in your closet if they followed you, or your family, around 24/7? And is there a voyeur in all of us, since millions of people tune in to watch everyday people do everyday things? And how can we have such strong opinions about people we only know from TV? This DVD is the funniest comedy specials I've ever seen. I bought it for my friend and watched it with her and laughed the entire time. (I've seen this comedy about 6 times before, and it's still funny!) She talks about the little voice in your head when you're trying to sleep, calling the shampoo hotline, etc. It's so much fun.

As I noted in a review last year of Woody Allen's classic Annie Hall, that is among other things a defense of New York City as the cultural epicenter American culture such as it is, this is matter that has preoccupied him from early in his career as a director/ writer/actor/comic. Allen is the quintessential New Yorker so one knows where his sledge hammer will fall. I really wanted to like `Mr. Wrong'. I think I should start by making that perfectly clear. I love Ellen DeGeneres. I think that she is a total laugh riot and I am interested in watching everything she's in because of that very fact. I also adore Joan Cusack (the more talented of the Cusack siblings, in my humble opinion) and so when I saw that she was here as well I was itching to get my hands on the movie. Despite the fact that Bill Pullman is hot or miss with me, I did really like him in `While You Were Sleeping', which was released just the year prior to this film, and so I half expected to really like him here as well. I wasn't crazy about this movie. I purchased it because I'm a huge Dermot Mulroney fan. He was okay in this one but not my favorite.
