My son is stationed in Qatar currently. He doesn't get much American TV, so he watches DVDs. He is a Civil War buff, so he loved this set! I loved the shipping to APOs! Some sites don't offer it or charge ridiculous fees (Walmart) to ship to APOs. I am very pleased with this purchase!

Civil War Terror produced by the History Channel is an excellent DVD covering the late Civil War (1843-45) from the Dahlgren Raid through the sinking of the Sultana. Terror is not a new tactic as this DVD plainly testifies. Any student of the Civil War must be familiar with this topic if they are to have a complete picture of how uncivil the Civil War was. War is never a thing of glory, espcially when it touches the lives of the common people. In this, the Civil War was no different than any other.

The History Channel's Indian Warriors is a good and valuable DVD. Although it concentrates on the Civil War era, there is much good material on the Trail of Tears etc. It is a story not often told and will go far in explanning the Indian position during the Civil War, at least of the Cherokees. The other tribes out west out not mentioned though all the five civilized tribes signed on with the Confederacy. For a valuable picture get this video.

The History Channel's Indian Warriors is a good and valuable DVD. Battles of the Civil War - is the DVD version of all of the Classic Images films Jack Foley made during the 125th Anniversary years of the American Civil War. They have been re-released in three volumes covering the whole war. During a five year period in the 1980's large reenactments of the Civil War were taking place on or near all of the major battlefields. At the time Jack Foley was there with his film crews. He put together excellent documentaries at the time using the thousands of reenactors that showed up from all over the world. The films for the most part were well paced and well written with Mr. Foley as the narrator. When I asked him how he liked it, he tried to be polite, but had to admit that while interesting, the accuracy was poor. While describing one battle, scenes were shown of a completely different location. He has visited these sites, and knows one from the other.
