The Sandlot was definitely the best movie of 1993. Hard to believe that was fifteeen years ago, I remember seeing this one in the theatre and enjoying every second of this heartfelt, inspiring film. The cast is hoot and Denis Leary is actually sweet in this! I recommend this childhood favorite to everyone, enjoy!

Let's be honest. You already know the beginning, middle, and end to this movie. You know it even if you haven't watched it. Nonetheless, is an enjoyable, albeit incredibly predictable Disney sports flick. Basically, it's Little Giants with a European translation of Football. When the film begins, an attractive, teacher named Anna Montgomery (Olivia d'Abo) arrives in a small town as a visiting teacher - sort of a teaching abroad half-year deal from England, but without the bad teeth. Anyway, she's a horrible teacher; so she decides to teach her lessons via soccer indoctrination. these movies represent what life used to be like..the story plot is so refreshing ..its innocent and fun ...my children never get tired of this movie..even my 5 y old mimis most of the lines in the movie.

This movie is too funny!!! I have seen this movie with my husband like over 50 times, and I still love it! A funny Sinbad plays a man out to make money. He schemes and finds his way into a loving family home, and all kinds of heck breaks loose! The head of the family, played by Phil Hartman, believes that Sinbad is his oldest friend in the world. This movie shows how great friends can be, and will keep you laughing, no matter how many times you see it!! There are also a couple of mobsters that make the movie very funny!! A must see family movie for every one!!!!!

I was quite pleased with Universal Pictures' combination of 4 of their family films into one DVD package. It would've been even better if they had thrown in featurettes on the making of each film, but the quality presented here is fine. "The Little Rascals" is a sheer delight. I was amazed with how well they recaptured the original spirit of the old "Our Gang" comedies. The casting was uncanny as these new, adorable kids strongly resemble their original counterparts. The story re-connects with the old storylines through familiar trappings: The go-cart race, Alfalfa's romance with Darla, his friendship with best pal Spanky, etc. And it's seasoned with cameos from "old pros": Mel Brooks, George Wendt, Darryl Hannah, Whoopi Goldberg, Donald Trump, Lea Thompson, and Reba McIntire. Christina Ricci is wonderful in this early movie. Some reviewers have criticized the performance of Lisa Kudrow, but I thought she added greatly to the story line.
