Where are the bloopers????

In spite of a lot of negativity towards Catherine Tate (I didn't like her, or more the characters she played), I loved Donna. She is truly an equal to the Doctor, unlike Rose and Martha. I think it would have been kinder to have her live with the Doctor's memories and die than to have her memories wiped, but that's just me (ethical dilemma, anyone?). Either way, I cry every time I watch the final episode because of it. I suppose leaving the second Doctor with Rose made sense, but it still feels like taking the easy way out. Well, what do you do with a replica of yourself, eh?

When I was a kid I loved this TV show, and I was interested to see if my enjoyment would be affected by my change to adulthood. It is now 2008, and the moon is still in orbit, with no moon base sight! That aside, however, I still loved this shows take on the future. Even twenty odd years later, I am amazed at the level of attention to detail in the space travel technology and the realistic set design. It is also fun to watch the way people in the past see and design the future devices. I especially like the comlink, a cross between a cellphone and a garage door opener. I have always loved the design of the lasers and even had a Space 1999 dart shooter as a kid. All I can say is that Space 1999 stands the test of time, even if the title is less than prophetic. I hope you give it a chance. I've ... Read More

CLEAN AND SOBER, starring MICHAEL KEATON (MK), MORGAN FREEMAN, KATHY BAKER, is a movie that will potentially raise as many questions as the answers that is gives out, considering that it touches upon the subjects of narcotics addiction, alcoholism, and the disorder and chaos that is felt in many people's personal lives.

Not knowing MK personally, the work suggests an almost invisible line between the character that is played by MK in the film, and MK himself, as an actor, such is the realistic feel of the flow of events.

The story starts out with MK snorting cocaine with the daughter of a client, from whom he
embezzles $92,000 to speculate on the stock market with high risk derivatives and options, albeit only being a realtor or real estate agent. This puts his job in jeopardy ... Read More

As a rabid Agatha Christie fan from my youth, I am eager to watch any version of the beloved Miss Marple that I can. Although the BBC version with Joan Hickson is by far the most superior interpretation in keeping the spirit of the books, nonetheless I was eager to see what the new Miss Marple series would bring. I have to say that I am greatly disappointed in these adaptations. Not only does this new Miss Marple have a past that seems inconsistent with the books, the entire storyline is a farce. I was also upset that there is a definite homosexual agenda depicted vividly in several of these movies. Part of the joy of these books and the former movie adaptations for me has been the "whodunit" aspect in the midst of small-town England. The murders themselves were almost secondary to the unfolding of the great ... Read More

Catherine Tate is simply hilarious and the DVD of the first season is a perfect oppurtunity to see this genius invent a host of characters. She can be shocking but that's most of the fun; waiting for something just crazy. Watching this with Close Captioning might be helpful.

It got panned when it first came out, don't listen to those reviews though. THis movie is really good and Brittany Murphy is stunning in it.

Big Train only ran for two series but established itself as one of the funniest shows ever made in a very short space of time. A classic post Python sketch show, that was competing with serious heavyweight comedies in the UK like the The Fast Show and Little Britain, and the end, in my view, was better than both.

The surreal nature of some of the sketches is what makes the show so great. One sketch that always stuck in my mind was the wildlife film with the couple getting on to the roof of their Land Rover as a stampeding 'herd' of Jockey's swept past.. But there were many others just as good and some even more surreal. They were all beautifully acted by a stellar cast. Remember this is a series that had Simon Pegg and Catherine Tate to name but two.

Then of course there was the World Stare Out ... Read More

This DVD was an excellent purchase. I can't get enough of the good Dr. as played by Christopher Eccelston. He did a great job of bringing the 60's character to life again.

If you don't want or can't afford the whole first season, the smaller volumes are great. These are my favorite episodes & it's nice seeing them without commercial interuption, plus you can actually erad the credits!
