The title says it all here folks. I've been a long time fan of this series (and by series, I mean 'Mad Max' and 'The Road Warrior', not that abortion of a movie 'Max Max beyond Thunderdome'). Anyway, this is the Australian release titled 'Mad Max 2', not 'The Road Warrior', so it has a slightly different intro, and they do refer to Mel's character as Max, not as the 'man with no name' like they did in the U.S. version. Not a lot in the way of extras here. The picture is very grainy when viewed in hi-def. Not anything you can do about it; it was a limitation of the time since it wasn't filmed in hi-def. Still, the film looks good despite it's age and the sound is good. If you don't have it on DVD, you can certainly pick it up in that format cheaper than this was ($13). Read More

Excellent, well-paced and well-acted movie. The two leads work excellently together and the villians are menacing.

If you have not seen this series - don't start with JL Unlimited, season 2. Go back and start with Justice League, season 1 - and watch from the beginning. The plots/story lines get deeper, more sophisticated as you get deeper in the series. Good stuff.

I have enjoyed this movie, since it first came to big screen. Its a classic that everyone needs in thier collection.

Made by fx master Douglas Trumbull after 2001, this actually is a very moving plea for the cause of conservation. An earth so polluted that the last forests are put on great space ships like the Valley Forge to roam the outer edges of the solar system, awaiting the call to return home. Instead the reverse order is given. Bruce Dern kills his companions to prevent them from carrying out the order. Folk score by Joan Biaz

I found this movie/documentary to be rather sophmoric and goofy, but worth watching anyway. Some motorcycle magazine editors feel they have to mention this, "EPIC", tale in their respective publications every month, raving about how wonderful it is and how much it influenced their lives. I just don't see it. I grew up in the 60"s and 70"s and have been riding motorcycles for 39 years. I certainly didn't need Bruce Brown to tell me to.

Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys is an enjoyable holiday film for the whole family. It has good, crisp animation, a clever story line, a little humor, and even some mystery and suspense. The DVD has some scenes not shown in the TV version. Of course it has a happy ending, and it delivers a wholesome message. My 4 year old grandaughter has already watched it half a dozen times...in May!!

Ali DVD Will Smith is eerily like Ali. It's like Cassiuss Clay is playing himself. I remember watching Clay fight in the Olympics and Smith has him down pat. I'd admired Ali for being willing to go to prison for his convictions instead of fleeing to Canada like all the other bed-wetting, Mommas boys who opposed the War in Viet Nam. Jon Voight is good as Howard Cosell, who was a nobody until he weaseled his way into Ali's life. I understand that Smith and Voight both received Academy Award nominations for their roles in this move. I wonder how Smith "bulked up" for this role. Highly recommended for fans of Will Smith, Jon Voight, boxing the way it use to be, and Cassius Clay, aka Mohammed Ali. Gunner April, 2008
