I have seen two versions of this Jane Austen novel. I find the choice of actors much better in this version.

Beyond the Law---Based on a true story, written as a real story. Nothing hokey in the story, dialogue or acting !!! It's a serious story with some light moments about a cop(with a troubling item in his past)who goes undercover to bust a notorius mid-west biker club(gang?) and goes a little over the edge---at one point going face-to-face,gun barrel-to-gun barrel with another cop who believes him to be one of the bad guys---a face off that will give you a rush. Whether you're a biker flick fan or not, you will enjoy the ride. It's a class story.

Valiant effort at recreating the feel of WWI aviation but 'over acting' is a detriment. It is still an enjoyable motion picture none the less.

Hate is alive and well in our very own country of America. That is unfortunate but it is a fact. We still have racists, sexists, homophobes etc. That kind of hate gave birth to Nazi Germany and the extinction of Jews and Gay People in the Concentration Camps. This is a must see movie that every American ought to see. We then can hopefully understand why we must be vigilant to assure that this kind of thing never happens again. Bent is a powerful movie. Prepare yourselves to examine your own consciences as you see this movie unfold. I highly recommend it.

this movie is SO bad. it is almost laughable at points (like when someone dies in the most awkward way ever from hitting their head after falling down three stairs.) would not pay 50 cents for it. on the cover it looks like the guy from frasier... yeah terrible.

while i'm thrilled BFS is releasing The Piglet Files on DVD (and let's get that third and final season out before March/April 2005 please), i think they should have just released the entire series in one set. i mean 21 (20 min.) episodes... come on you could fit that on less than 6 DVD's. why must they milk us for $35.00 per series set? i guess because they can, and i will pay it so i'm a hypocrite. but this short-lived series is so hilarious, and one of (if not my) favorite brit-coms ever made so its a must have. CHEERS!!!

This film understands something that 99% of Hollywood films dont. Its the journey not the destination that matters. Most films are like inanimate objects these days, skeletal building frames carefully joined together to get to the pre-determined and cliched ending. Boring. Most Hollywood movies make me want to shoot myself in the head they're so trite.
If you breathe life into the characters, setting, and film itself you dont need a destination, you dont need black and white. Everything speaks for itself.
Thats why theres so much hostility towards this film, it doesnt fit in a box.
The hero is an immoral thief, yet his humanity shines through and you cant help but like him. This film is reminscent of Menace II Society in the way you excuse the criminals to some degree for their crimes. ... Read More
